I think his activeness is more disruptive in this situation than Cantys or Spears. Not sure, but it worked and Im not complaining.jlust22 said:Ratliff started today too. The Cowboys played their nickel defense a ton today and Pile and Ratliff are starters in the nickel. The Eagles play mostly 3 wides so instead of playing their base 3-4, the Cowboys went to their nickel to better match-up. This is something they haven't done enough of in the first 4 games and I think that has cost them. It's interesting that Ratliff moved ahead of Spears and Canty on the nickel defense and is playing the tackle spot next to Glover now.
As far as the FS spot goes, I just think we'll sign a proven vet next year for cheap. As for Coleman, I d rather see what we saw today than to see him not make a play. Yeah, he lead the DL with 12 tackles, but those are plays he s suppossed to make. He never makes a play that disrupts a play and thats where I have a problem with him. Even the rookies have come in and caused problems behind the LOS. Coleman doesn't.ddh33 said:I've been keeping my eye on the Pile/Davis battle. I'm hearing less from that position lately, and that's a good thing.
The Coleman thing has also been worth noting. It's been a while since I've heard his name, and that hasn't been as good of a thing. I've been wanting more production from that spot.
