did anyone see the spot by the Skins WR?

This wasn't nearly the same thing. After the play was over, Randle El got up, walked over to the ball, picked it up, walked back, then set the ball down where he wanted it. The refs were looking around for the ball, saw it on the ground where Randle El put it, then left it there, almost like they thought the other ref put it there.

Who knows, maybe the line judge saw it and thought it was right where he would have put it anyway. But it looked ridiculous.

I saw it and was going nuts. I could not believe it when I saw it and the refs looked like they just left it where Randle El spotted it. Initially when the ref ran up to spot the ball, his foot was about 12" or so away from when the ref wearing the Commanders uniform spotted the ball.

he caught the ball just short of the first down....the side judge walked to where the ball was to be spotted, but then started talking to another official. the Skins WR put the ball down past the marker, and the refs just left it there.

its nice to see players being allowed to spot the ball.

Crazy...isn't it? The refs are continuing their rapid downward spiral to mediocrity!

I went mental when I saw Randle el do this,I was screaming for Wade to challenge the spot. The officiating has been horrible this year

WATCH the side Judge came in to spot the ball short and the back Judge had to have seen Randal El place the ball.

That being said, the Skins probably could have made it with a QB sneak on 4th down.
