Yes, i think he did, with Dan Reeves & Jimmy Johnson giving him some pointers!

 What was said by Johnson was simplistic. And had nothing to do with Garrett running the ball more.

Dan Reeves was there getting ready for being some announcer on some show that was going to cover the game thursday. Not sure what all dan reeves said, im sure wade talked to jerry jones and wade probably tried to talk to jerry again about dan reeves. Just speculating on that part, but dan reeves was said to talk to several players and watch practice.

Plenty of the older guys around during the week. And I'm sure they talked to a lot of the present folks.

Reeves was not here as a consultant. Only in your dreams and conspiracy theories. I'm sure Garrett is capable of adapting on his own. It's during the game with on the fly micromanagement that I question at times. The guy is obviously brilliant all by his self.

It's all about using your strengths and exploiting the other teams weaknesses. This was the Raiders, do the math. I will credit the play caller for moving Austin around and trying to get Felix the ball a few times in space...

Definitely more a product of the scheme the Raiders use. I promise you that the Giants won't be playing us straight up man to man all game like the Raiders did.

Exactly the point... We struggle typically against zone coverages...

But the offense did take advantage of the scheme by moving Miles around a lot more and mixing it up better, which is clearly a coaching adjustment.

They have a pretty good defense. Not to mention the best corner in the game. Miles burned him more than once.

He burned him once in the beginning. Other than the beginning, I don't remember any big plays or catches for that matter against him. Miles was burning Johnson, the same corner that Roy Williams caught his TD on. That was the match-up the Cowboys were exploiting.

Off. Coordinator....hmmm...wouldnt the object be of a top OC to make adjustments at least during a halftime during a game where the D' is owning you.....at least have some wrinkle, some fall back plays, some West coast type looks when a team like G.Bay is living in your backfeild.......

I mean say we get to the SBowl.....tight game, def. struggle.....Garrett gonna make adjustments a week later?

I think Garrett makes adjustments. Sometimes I think he doesn't see the forest for the trees.

I agree, I don't think Garrett did anything out of the ordinary. The Raiders playing man dictated the scheme. A different team may have had different results. I don't trust RHG anymore, he doesn't use the receivers to their strengths from what I see. His pass plays take to long to develop and he refuses to change. Well except against the Faiders, we will see this week against the giants if he has truly adjusted th offense to shorter routs and more runs when they get in trouble again. I don't think his patience in a close game will allow him to play the same.

i think he did and it all started with Commanders when he started running more....the raiders imo have a better defense than the Commanders thhe corners play good 1 on 1....and the box is pretty good.

i sincerely hope that no one reading this thread believes that 2 announcers
came in and changed our offensive game plan in one hour and a half session,
while also gathering info for their own jobs as commentators.

if it was that easy to fix those guys really need to get back into coaching.

That's not what it's about. It's about Garrett changing up his game plan, because the Packers exploited something in his offense (according to Orakpo at least).

The fact that our board members are debating it actually explains a lot, doesn't it?

I don't like taking credit away from the opponent, but we ran the ball quite well against the Skins (150 yards rushing) and the only thing killing us was Romo was way off due to the injury. I think Romo has to do a better job if he gets hurt because that's just the way it is. Nobody cares if you're off because you get hurt in a playoff game. But, the Skins didn't seem to really shut the Cowboys down. I think the gameplan is to blitz Romo from the weakside as the O-Line, RB's, receivers and Romo don't adjust well to those blitzes, but there's only so much you can blitz from the same position.

Orakpo sounds like another loud mouth who cries after his team gets beat. Well, he better get used to it.
