Did Gregory submit his papers?

yes sir......

I believe we should know his fate in no longer than 60 days!
I copied that link from the NewsZone and assumed it was submitted but now am seeing all available articles say "to submit". My bad for misspeaking.

I missed that segment. But was not paying a lot of attention yesterday. Too much to do, and a lot to do today as well.
I did not see anything on the DC website, but then again it never seems to be updated. I actually think their site can be ran much better.

Especially their roster. It is always behind every other site, and is still often wrong.

No worries. The article itself clearly states he filed his application, they just appear to be using information that he was going to be filing as the basis for their article. You didn't misspeak, the article just seems to be misleading.

I've searched far and wide and have not seen anything definitive saying he actually submitted the application. Certainly doesn't mean he didn't, maybe it takes a little bit to propagate through the media.

Regardless, does anyone think Gregory will be a dependable player this year or next? My gut tells me he is an inch away from another failed test and a lifetime ban. I hope I am wrong but his history is indicative of a man with a serious lack of discipline. I don;t have a problem with the Cowboys trying him out again this year, but for me its hard to give him a roster spot not knowing if he will be playing the entire season. They already have a problem with David Irving.

Kids grow up.

Sometimes you just have to take a chance on them.

I thought he could be dependable if he straightened his life out. However, when Ian Rapoport reported that Gregory just recently spent more than 6 weeks in intensive drug and alcohol rehab (at the same time he reported Gregory was filing on Thursday), it really made me lose all confidence we can count on him.

This habit was supposed to have been kicked, and if he is still struggling to the point he needed more rehab this late in the game, then I doubt we can ever depend on him. Maybe I just don't understand the rehab process, but it is my understand Gregory has been to rehab several times already. I don't doubt people may need several rounds of rehab as relapses happen, but we are led to believe Gregory has been clean since July 2016. It is very puzzling he needed to complete another stint in rehab almost 2 years later while remaining clean for so long. I thought people went to rehab to break the habit/learn to cope with the cravings and then went to meetings/support groups to assist in their long term recovery afterwards.

If he needs rehab just to continue being clean, what's to say he doesn't feel like he needs to go back to rehab 2 weeks into the season (if he gets reinstated)?

I also wonder why he needs 2,000 pages of documentation in support of his application. That number is mind boggling to me. He could have been in rehab every day since his suspension with a daily progress report and daily drug tests and that would account for less than 1,000 pages of supporting documentation. I know that didn't happen but what in the world is he submitting? It just doesn't make sense.

I fully expect he will be reinstated my concern at this point is what kind of condition he will be in. I know it was reported he was working a full time job, but have not heard much of any strength and conditioning work he has been putting in. I would find it hard to believe he would be able to do much more than limited snaps should he return.

We don't know how intensive it was at this point. Maybe it was like AA meetings to stay on path. People go to those for years, decades even.

It is all about his support group now and his will to overcome.

If camp comes and Gregory is still MIA, then his football future may be in jeopardy. Until then, I hope for the best for his career and mental health.

"Gregory's application should be received by the league office within days in hopes that he will be reinstated in time for training camp in late July, according to the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of privacy stipulations in the drug policy."

Maybe the mailed the box containing the 2,000 sheets of paper via UPS and it's expected to be delivered soon. They would have overnighted it but was too expensive.
