JAG.. would much rather have Kerrigan
With all this talk about the unreliable Aldon Smith and the unreliable Randy Gregory, what are the Cowboys waiting on to sign 2019 Pro Bowler Jedeveon Clowney. He was the no.1 player out of High School, no.1 player out of college, and no.1 overall draft pick. The man was a 4-3 RDE in college and is only 28 years old. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones, here is your "War Daddy"!
Have we forgotten this...
Its the Mickey Spags school of journalism lol....state the obvious over and over until maybe you are proven right. Which he rarely ever is. Hes a jerk. He really has no clue about how free agency and team building works. In his mind free agency doesnt matter because as he says "why are they available." How asinine. Someone needs to tell Mick teams have what we call a cap, and SOMETIMES teams choose not to pay them or they simply cant afford them. Its not as simple as what he wants you to believe.Mickey is here!
Love Kerrigan. He would be a smart signing if hes available.JAG.. would much rather have Kerrigan
Would be interesting to see Garrett and Clowney work together. He is visiting with Cleveland by the way.
There is a big difference between taking a shot on a low dollar contract and a high dollar one. BTW, Clowney was last a Pro Bowler in 2018, not 2019.Clowney's rookie year and 2020 COVID year did Clowney not play in at least 13 games. How many games did Aldon Smith, David Irving, and Randy Gregory miss the last 7 years?
Then we are wasting time with "Achilles Heal" Hooker, Neal, and doing that Kazee stuff?
When you have a 28 year old former no.1 overall pick that was a Pro Bowl player in 2019, you sign him just to show you are actually trying to improve your defense and win a Super Bowl. Clowney has played out of position as a OLB in a 3/4 for all his career excluding the SeaHawks in 2019. Bring him in to prove the obvious is not true.
No I did not miss anything...but Arlington Jonesboys fans missed that Clowney was a Pro Bowler 2016-2018 (3 times) and Pro Bowl alternate 2019 season. Again he has more than quadrupled the number of games played by Aldon Smith and Randy Gregory during that same period missing only his rookie year and 2020. He played hands on the ground 4-3 high school through college and in Seattle.Yes, you did miss quite a bit. He hasn't been good the last couple of years and has never been great during his NFL career. He had a couple of good seasons and that pro-bowl was in 2018, not 2019. Everyone has forgotten what he did in college just like every other player who has been in the league for several years. Teams don't want him for the price that he wants.
