I think both are free agents. Parnell played well when it counted most. Free will cost more and he's older. What say you?
NO
I expect someone else to be playing RT next season.
That would be the best scenario. New starter with Free or Parnell coming in off the bench.
Craig
No way either of them will come off the bench. The Cowboys O-line got so much praise this year. You don't think other teams in the league are salivating over the idea of getting a starter from this O-line? Those guys will demand money. I can see Free taking a cheap contract out of loyalty to the team. But someone would definitely be willing to pay him. And I think Parnell showed he can be a starter in this league. I can see him leaving to take more money. He's young-ish, have freakish athletic ability, and has played both tackle positions. And I'm not sure there will be a better RT available in free agency. And I don't trust our luck continuing with getting another rookie to come in and be a quality starter. I see us keeping the cheaper one of Free and Parnell.
We need to find another Erik Williams in the 4th round in a few months.
Either can do an acceptable job.
I would expect that one of them will be resigned to a reasonable contract.
Zack Martin will slide over to RT where he'll make All Pro.
We will draft an OG as well as bring in a FA. Martin will make an even bigger impact at RT.
Respectfully disagree.
We'll see. Nothing is for certain.
Agreed. I expect the team to offer a reasonable contract to both, first come, first served.
Parnell may, in fact, be the higher-priced player.
My expectation is that the team will draft a right tackle this year regardless.
I think the long term fates of several players were made today.
Several of whom are likely gone.
RT is a tough spot,we have several tackles on on roster who i have no idea if they are any good,i would not pass up a chance to draft if i was jerry though
Agree.
I can't see Martin moving to RT.
Why not? He played OT in college. It's his natural position. Why wouldn't we move him to RT?
