Not trying to be negative but I cant help but think that the Bills found a scheme that worked well vs. our Offense and we will be seeing something like that Vs. the Pats.

Romo throwing the ball into triple coverage and completely overthrowing passes has nothing to do with the Bills' scheme.

Looking at the INTs they were just all bad throws outside of the deflection and pick by Kelsey. They seemed to all be correctable.

The routes we ran early were brutal, we had to route short crossses to get TR going ....they took away our deep shots.

I'm not going to go one by one through the INTs since others have already done it, but listen, it was just a bad game. If it becomes a habit, then we start to worry. Right now, we look at the body of work for Romo this season and we see:

1. Great game
2. Great game
3. Great game
4. Great game
5. Horrible game

I mean, I'll take 1 bad game out of 5 bad games in his first full season as starter and a win in all of them.

Hmm, so where does that go:

6. Great game
7. Great game
8. Great game
9. Great game
10. Horrible game
11. Great game
12. Great game
13. Great game
14. Great game
15. Horrible game
16. Great game
Playoff 1: Great game
Playoff 2: Great game
Playoff 3 or SB: Great game
SB (no bye): Horrible game

Ok, so if Dallas gets the bye, they'll be fine. Otherwise, look out.

I dont think they did.

I think what happened tonight is alot of fans, alot of media and some of the guys on this team learned a good lesson.

Never underestimate anyone. All these 43-6 predictions I saw this week from fans and media made me scratch my head.

I think it is because, A. Alot of media members are lazy, they read stat sheets instead of watching the actual games and then insist they are right about everything, then promptly change their mind the next day.

Alot of fans either are frontrunners or dont really understand the game. I think stats play a role in that also.

The city of Buffalo is one of the finest football cities in america, they have been struggling the last 8 years and so they have become a joke to Overpaid yuppie media members, the likes of rick gosselin, Peter King, Pete prisco, Mike wilbon....

They just make jokes about the place, but I promise you when they are an average team with a chance they have the best fans in the league and that stadium is as intimidating as any in the league. That crowd tonight puts anything philadelphia has ever rolled out to shame.

I have been trying to tell everyone how this was going to be a dogfight and we should be happy with the win anyway we can get it. I got the usual we will win 42-10 response. I have been to so many games in buffalo and I knew the atmosphere was going to be a serious challenge. I am pretty proud of this team the way they finished.

My hats off to the bills and their fans. They were outstanding tonight.

Need I remind everyone Jimmy Johnson after getting a whipping from the bills in a game at rich stadium said in the post game pc that it was the loudest most intimidating place he had played and parcells echoed those sentiments in 98 after winning their with the jets.

and that is a stadium that scaled down from 82000 to 71000 to add luxury suites.

My hats off to our team and our coaches and to the bills fans and team.

Yep, the blueprint is in place. Get 6 turnovers and return a kickoff for a TD, and we're extremely vulnerable.

Seriously, this game had trap game written all over it. Anyone who thinks we can just walk into a visiting stadium any week and just walk all over people seriously lacks an understanding of the NFL.

The only thing I'm really concerned about is our special teams. Our special teams coach needs to go back to Oregon State.

My $.02

Romo was a little too excited for this game; it's too bad Jason and Wade couldn't have calmed him down more after the first couple of picks. I don't mean in a visible sense; he seemed to continue to try and force some throws. Making something happen is admirable, but this was really pushing it. There might have been 2-3 more interceptions but for some luck on our side.

I thought the defense couldn't have played much better, only giving up 3 points under very trying conditions. Buffalo's DL got a lot more push than I expected, but it was an emotional game for them. Out OL can be had, under the right conditions.

It will be real interesting to see if Romo grows from this, and I think he can. This is a classic example of trying too hard, and fortunately the breaks went our way. Be prepared for a lot of negative press though.

I hope this is the worst we look this year, and that they're focused from here on out.

Time for bed...

NO

Romo had a BAD game. We didn't tackle well at times. We allowed a TD on kick coverage. All of these issues can and will be corrected. Over all our D played good. Our OL must get it going in the first half though, i will say that.

We weren't exposed, it was just a bad game and we were bailed out by the defense and Nick Folk. No team is gonna blow out their opponent every game, that just doesn't happen in the NFL.

You mean the first pick where Romo overthrew Witten by almost 10 yards, right into the waiting arms of a defender.

Or the 2nd pick where he under-threw inside of Witten by about a foot, resulting in the defender making a play on it.

Or the 3rd pick where he threw it right where a defenders hands go when they anticipate the QB throwing the ball.

Or the 4th pick where he underthrew Hurd by about 5 yards down the sideline.

Or possibly the 5th pick where he threw into triple coverage to Witten when JJ was WIDE open in the flats for 8-10 yard gain.

They didnt explose a damn thing. Romo just had an absolutely HORRID game. And he still came back and made plays and we won the game. This is the best thing that could have happened to us before NE.

5-0

I don't know if you guys noticed or not, but Tony Romo could have ended up with more than 5 interceptions not counting the one that went through Barber's hands.

He was forcing stuff to Witten in the middle all night. I hope he learns from his mistakes, and the team adjusts from there.

I'm glad we won this game, and I'm trying to enjoy it. But I'm looking at the big picture.

could have is pretty irrelevant

Agree it probably humbles the team into not taking anything for granted. NE will be tough to beat if Romo has his A game. They are one of the finest teams we've seen in the NFL this decade.

Not trying to argue with anyone but all you guys are saying that Romo had a bad game..Well maybe he had a bad game cuz he was confused and not confident in his throws.

The score of that game really didn't tell the whole story. You take away two fluke/poor plays, the deflection/int inside our own 5 yard line and the kickoff return for a TD, and Buffalo only has 10 points. We were by far the better team, we just played an absolutely horrid football game.

If you would have told me Romo would have 5 picks and we'd still win, I'd laugh in your face.

They played 2 deep with the safeties most of the night.

The first pick was just a miscue, and Romo threw it to the right area.

The 2nd pick was pretty straight forward D scheme. They played 2 deep with the safeties, dropped the MLB into the middle and had the OLB play Witten heads up. Romo threw the ball behind Witten a bit and the LB made a great jump on the ball.

After that I tihnk he just started to force it. The pick in the red zone looked eerily familiar to the pick he threw against NY last year in his 1st start. He just locked onto his receiver and didn't read the MLB dropping into that middle zone.

Considering we turned the ball over 6 times, and half of them were chance, not really the scheme, Id say not much was exposed. Not to mention we still put up 25 points regardless.
