we could have come out of that draft with Shady McCoy, Henry Melton, and Julian Edelman....

but that draft was doomed from the start when we traded away so much for Roy Williams.

We could've but at the time we didn't need a receiver or running back. Melton was just a great find. I'm not even upset about missing out on those guys. It was the approach to that draft. You can't hit on every draft pick or find every Henry Melton or Shady McCoy. Those were GREAT finds.

The approach to find "special teams" guys was silly from jump just because they didn't have a 1st rounder.

But I agree that the Roy trade essentially ruined the draft. I'd love to know where they would've went if they had that draft pick.
