Did the front office swing and miss on Gordon?

You could get Tom Brady in the 6th, but you probably won't.

Or Tony Romo undrafted.

The bottom line is these draft picks are worth something and there's a valuable player in every round, even UDFA's.

But the player has to be available once they become that valued starter after the draft.

That's where a Josh Gordon with all his talent, coming even out of the supplemental draft ,becomes difficult to put a value on even after showing he can lead the league in receiving.

So, there's now a conditional 5th being invested in him after the team who drafted him invested 6 years and got about 1 1/2 season's out of him.

So far we got 2 1/5 season's out of our 25 year old starting QB who has yielded 23 Wins to 11 Losses. That's a 4th round pick.

I would say we gave enough potheads on this team. Not that I'm bashing having a toke here and there. But the NFL likes to suspend people over it, we don't need another player where we're not sure if they're playing from week to week. We need stability, these past 25+ years we keep taking chances on these type of people and sometimes it works out, but more often than not, it doesn't.
