I remember back to when Matthew Stafford did the old bush league fake clock stop spike and lunged for a TD against Dallas. A lot of franchises starving for success tend to treat playing Dallas like it's their Super Bowl.

Of course they did…..and Dallas deserved it. It is not Detroit’s fault the Cowboys quit and played like pansies. If you don’t like it, then stop them. This ain’t the Pee Wee league with a mercy rule so you won’t get totally embarrassed.

Tough. Grow a pair next time.

While I think it was up to our D to stop them, I don't understand unveiling their bag of tricks in a game that was already won. Seems to me, they'd save those kinda plays when they'd have more impact on the outcome. Still, it's disappointing our D didn't muster some pride, and stop them.

Lol a weak response. If you don't like what they're doing, then stop it
Then stop posting, or do you like taking a beating....stupid question, I guess. Of course you do. All you do is squeal and yell, thank you sir...can I have another.

LOL, how the tables have turned… now Dallas is the team starving for success and Detroit is contenders for the SB.

As for playing Dallas like it’s their SB, it’s been almost 30 years since Dallas was in a SB, most of the opponents have never in their lifetime seen Dallas even close to an NFCCG. Much less a SB contender.

If we had lined up Martin at receiver in a situation like this, all these tough guys would be ripping MM.
Martin? No, he has a bad back. If we lined up Cooper Beebe, people here would have loved it

If i was coaching against you, Id run the score up to 100, and you had better shake my hand after the game. If not, your team would witness another beat down!!!

Mailbag: Did Lions try to embarrass Cowboys?

Oct 16, 2024 at 08:51 AM

A lot of our fans seem to care which is pretty sad. They ran up the score and did not stop. Dallas has run the score up on several opponents the past 3 seasons even when they are way ahead. Fans get butthurt when the team gets exposed like that and their are no fake stats at the end to mitigate the beatdown like against Baltimore.

The players, ownership and management knew damn well that the Lions had more motivation for this game which made the no show even more of a disaster

They don't have to try too hard, they embarrass themselves just fine.

They wanted to curb stomp us and they did exactly that. They prepared and executed like a motivated team with a purpose. They were watching film of the beat down after and had a glorious time. I wish we were half the team they are. We are the pathetic worm getting squished.
