Did the Refs Rob the Commanders of a Gutsy Road Win?

Never really had control of the ball though, bobbled it on the way down, hit the ground and it moved in his belly as he was out of bounds.

4 point difference in a 17 point game. It was a crappy call, sure. But the Commanders were never up in this game and wasn't one bad call from winning. Hell, their "star" WR couldn't catch a cold in this game.

I know what a catch is. After explaining it to you all over the years, you know what a catch is. Apparently, this ref crew (and replay crew) don’t know what a catch is. Was the fix in here? This play changed the whole complexion of the game. Dak, who was looking pretty shaky, seemed to settle in once he knew the game was in the bag (wink, wink). I mean, congrats to him on the All-Time Cowboys TD record but will he be able to sleep tonight knowing how he got it? Probably. He has a Sleep Number bed afterall.

At first I thought it was indeed a TD. But during slo mo replay, you can see the ball escape Brown's hands entirely. That means he needs to collect the football before his steps or knee hits the ground again. When he gathered the ball again- he was simultaneously OB.

Refereeing in the NFL is atrocious.

That catch was a touchdown. The bobble had stopped and possession was established as the knee hit the ground.
Other than that it was typical NFL refereeing imo.

He did bobble it and then out of bounds the ball moved as well. He did not maintain control through the ground. Stupid rule but that is the rule and we know it quite well.

As explained during the broadcast, the ball can move as long as control isn't lost. I never saw receiver lose control.
