Now show the whole video where the ball moves after hitting the grown. Before the knee hits the turf, he didn't have possession. He gains possession at the same time as his knee hits then when he hits the ground the ball comes lose. He didn't maintain possession for the full catch.

I know what a catch is. After explaining it to you all over the years, you know what a catch is. Apparently, this ref crew (and replay crew) don’t know what a catch is. Was the fix in here? This play changed the whole complexion of the game. Dak, who was looking pretty shaky, seemed to settle in once he knew the game was in the bag (wink, wink). I mean, congrats to him on the All-Time Cowboys TD record but will he be able to sleep tonight knowing how he got it? Probably. He has a Sleep Number bed afterall.

I just figured it out. You're not a Giants fan, you just like rooting against the Cowboys. That's two weeks in a row you've given the Cowboys' opponent the benefit of the doubt.

I think this was one of those plays that couldn't be reversed. Had they originally called it a TD it would have stayed as one.

I think that's where they settled on it. It took a little for him to get the ball under control, so since they ruled it incomplete, they stuck with the call based on that. I think they were wrong, but I believe that was the reasoning behind the call.

Frankly, I think that is why the Dez call should not have been reversed. It looked to me like he made a football move, so it should have stayed as called on the field.

As far I’m concerned, the result of the play is irrelevant. Getting the win was the most important thing.
The bigger question going forward is the softness of our defense. Opponents are still dominating our front. Now it’s the Ravens in Brazil. They just lost to the Saints at home. They’re gonna be looking to make a statement.

Ball moving isn’t the issue as long as you have control. He lost control for a split second but he did. That’s why it’s not a catch. And the replay booth isn’t going to reverse the call in the field when it’s that close. If it had been ruled a TD on the field, I doubt they would reversed it either.

Looked like a catch to me, but I still dont think the Commanders win the game regardless.

As others have said, it came down to the call on the field since there was not indisputable visual evidence to overturn.

That was a catch IMO. Washington had a few bad breaks yesterday. Dak played really well, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that a game-tying TD means the Commanders would have gone on to win that game though

It was clear Dak was having zero issues exploiting the Washington secondary

Bad angle to see the sideline and need to continue the clip through contact with the ground. Not running the video through to the end is a tell.

I think all officiating sucks in the NFL but I guarantee between the officiating last week, the non face mask call against Skatteboo that wash called when it was not only clear but he was BLEEDING from his face, the PI call against the Giants defender in the end zone when the dude didn’t even touch our receiver and the non TD call yesterday…our fans would be rioting about how much Goodell hates us, the league is fixed, we have no chance at winning, etc.

I used to not believe that crap but that’s 2 weeks in a row that they clearly tried to help us as much as they could. We’re not talking a holding penalty here and there, these were game, or potentially game, altering penalties. The cowboys get ratings, ratings get money, money makes all of the owners more money.

Again, I get every game will have good and bad calls, but it’s becoming more and more clear who the league/Goodell wants in the playoffs this year. Washington never stood a chance even if they played a perfect game. Sorry, glad we won but it’s sad to see games decided by the refs and and that’s 2 weeks in a row that it couldn’t have been more obvious. I would have rather lost and seen a fairly officiated game. The integrity of the sport is ****.
