Did Trevon Diggs tear his ACL practicing indoors (turf) or outside (grass)?

Thanks, guys. Wow, I would have thought indoors since so many players are getting injured playing on turf. Guess it doesn't matter much whether on turf or grass?

I dont think they've found anything conclusive one way or another, as long as the field has had proper maintenance.

I'd say 99% of injuries are flukes/dumb luck.

Saquon got hurt @ ARI. Ran up the middle, guy tackled him and rolled up on him on the tackle. Nothing malicious and nothing odd about the tackle. just a fluke...

i wonder if it was weak already and wouldve happened later this season anyway?
Yes thats my theory on alot of these injurys. They are already torn or damaged , many from excessive weight lifting, and then the right amount
of pressure and it gives. Same thing for hamstrings.
When there is no contact , then chances are it was already damaged.

I'm not sure that's true but the torn ACL happens on any surface where the knee can get torqued the wrong way. I remember Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's response when he was asked why he continued to wear low-top shoes even after mid and high tops became all the rage. His response was that bracing the ankle that strongly shifted the torque up the leg to the knee and he'd rather roll an ankle than blow out a knee any day.
football shoes are mostly low tops ?

Someone should do a study on that.

The only reason the rates are higher on turf over grass is because more stadiums are turf over grass.
Some pundits want to skew the numbers though.

It seems there are more turf stadiums though, are there?. Even in college possibly, for the bigger programs?
It’s easy to correct for different base rates by using per field type numbers.

Personally I don't really know what the numbers of injuries on grass or turf are, but I would believe that they are probably close. It all depends on what people are trying to prove. When Aaron Rodgers got hurt players were yelling about the turf. When Nick Chubb got hurt on grass........crickets. until I see concrete numbers I don't really have an opinion on either.

So far, this thread sounds like this:

- It's windy.
- No it's Thursday.
- Yeah, I'm thirsty.

He landed on the WRs foot!...Sheesh (lol)

Anyone remember Long Duck Dong in Sixteen Candles?
" Yes, married... Sheesh".... lol

no propaganda. I know what is real and what is not.
There are some pretty dumb and biased people out there.
As well some with agendas.
Data speaks. Provide that instead of over the top opinions.

Like Overshown right? His ACL was doomed. There was no significant mechanism of injury. Some people have more play in those ligaments and I guess are more vulnerable to injury. Or he caught it just wrong.
That's really not how it works.

As Hillary would say, "AT THIS POINT, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!".

Does anyone know? Appreciate any accurate information. Could answer some questions.
Good read but the debate will go on. You can see Jerry’s view also.
