did Victor Butler see a snap tonight?

In fairness I doubt they want rookie converted DE Butler in nickel coverage packages at this point. To get him on the field you need to sit Spencer or Ware.

Not that getting a rotation, particularly for Spencer, would be a bad thing.

Kid isn't going to develop sitting on the bench, the pass rush in particular consistently looks slow at the end of games... why not give him a snap or two?

On the contrary, The argument can be made that not going with a rotation which includes Butler and Spencer is a very bad thing. Get outside of your comfort zone as a coach.. Play a rookie that shows sparks... Be innovative... Innovators win big games. Status quo gets you an early vacation. Wade sucks.

He was gonna come in but Spencer picked that crucial pass off on the goal line that was right in his hands and Wade decided.....um...what....he did what?

Never mind.
:lmao2:

He did not see one snap! Octavien came in for Ware when he went out!

Brilliant!

I'll say it for you then, bench Spencer. Bust. Period.

Why is Anthony Spencer a bust?

Because he hasn't gotten any sacks yet?

Spencer plays a lot more coverage than Demarcus Ware does on the weakside and he's better at it than Greg Ellis was. Spencer is also a good run defender and he's come close to several sacks just like Ware has.

Spencer's also dealing with being a starter and playing the almost every snap on defense.

That isn't easy.

We do need to develop a rotation on the strongside with Victor Butler, even if he only comes in for some nickel snaps at end.

But Spencer is not a bust, he isn't even close to being one.

Butler has already matched Spencer's career in FFs and has half the sacks he has.....Spencer in third season Butler did it in about 6 plays...

Maybe because Butler looked like *** vs the run when he played in the preseason? He got blown up almost every single play, turned around etc.. and Moreno is the kind of back that like Felix can cut on a dime and take it to the house.
I like Butler but there is probably a good reason for him not being in there.
