Did we just see a transition from Barber to Jones as starter?

Just wondering what most of the board thinks, or if there's even been any word on this.

It looks a lot like what happened in 2007 when there was a transition from Jones to Barber in the playoffs.

Anyway what do you all think?

if barber keeps doing this we are.

barber just played poorly. he is ok. he just didnt run well.

1st and 15 barber is slow to the line. felix would have had a 6-8 yard gain barber gets 3.

1st and 10 barber should have cut it up inside instead he tries to go outside (not how the run is designed) and he is tackled because flozell is SEALING his man to the outside allowing a hole to develop inside as the run is supposed to be. barber cuts it outside.

2nd and 16 and barber on a draw and A HUGE HOLE is sitting directly to his right and he hesitates. Instead of hitting it for 5-7 yards he hesitates and goes straight into the center of the line.

Benched. Doesnt see another play.

Barber started last night. My guess is he will do so throughout the playoffs. He won't get most of the snaps but they will give him the respect of officially starting

He wasn't benched. Wade said in is PC that he took himself out because he didn't feel right. A healthy Barber doesn't do that.

he is fine. he mentally did not play well last night.

Actually, Barber was hurt .. he missed at least one day of practice late this week and was on the injury report.

Barber had three rushes. I don't think you can say he didn't perform - he wasn't given a chance. I think the game plan was to use him to pound the ball in the second half and eat the clock, but since we were running away with it, they just let him rest and stay fresh (and heal).

edit: well ne'er mind....i've read the pressie comments now.

Hurt or not, does it not look as though Felix Jones should be getting at least as many carries as he got last night, every game?

I guess the question could be changed to, did Felix Jones supplant Marion Barber with his performance last night?

Personally I think it'd be hugely beneficial to the team, as I think Marion Barber coming with fresh legs late in games is something defenses would fear. His role should mirror that of what it was in 2007 before the playoffs, I think.

Barber just doesn't seem like himself ever since that injury against the giants. He's obviously not fast but he doesn't break any tackles or run people over like he used too

WATCH THE THREE PLAYS. HE LOOKED LIKE A GIRL. he didnt feel right cause he didnt RUN IT UP THE GUT. He hesitated.

He deserved to be benched.

wade is covering for him and that is all. Watch the game film.

He made 3 wrong choices in a row.

I don't think Barber has been anything close to 100 percent this year. He hasn't looked like himself at all. Even if he is 100 percent though, a healthy Jones needs to touch the ball more. He's our best weapon and most dynamic threat out of the backfield. Felix the Cat at the top of his game is scary good.

I think it depends on who we are playing. Some teams Barber matches up better and teams like Philly Felix does. You take it game by game. Who ever is playing the best you go with him.

Yeah, that injury could have been alot worse than people knew. He definitely hasnt looked the same.

Luckily, we have Jones and Choice.

He missed a practice or two due to bruised knee.

Never mind.
