Did we just see a transition from Barber to Jones as starter?

watch how he played. he didnt hit the holes on ANY of his three runs (he blundered into it on the first run)

maybe he pulled himself but its evident his mind wasnt quick enough to hit the holes and he wasnt playing well.

whether it was him pulling himself or garrett you watch the tape. on the 2nd and 16 for the draw he has a MASSIVE hole to his right and he stutter steps instead of sprinting right into it to gain 5 or 6. and he just dives into the middle and gets tackled.

maybe it is just barber. either way he was less than impressive.

I think u go into next year with Felix Jones as your starter with Choice backing him up and drafting a bruising RB in draft and trade Barber. Just no way to defend Barber contract as this point.

Barber was having some health issues that according to the Cowboys he took himself out of the game we know he was having a problem with the knee which is why he was held out in one of last weeks practice. The week before he was killing Philly at the start of the game from the 1st snap of that game. Hopefully that knee starts feeling better for next weeks game, I think we are better when we can use all 3 RB and I would rather go into Minn will all barrels loaded

3rd quarter. 3 minutes and 35 seconds andrea kramer reports that the dallas cowboys training staff the official word is that he is eligible to play.

He was benched. its all a bs smokscreen to defend barber.

ELIGIBLE means that IF he has to play, he can. But that does not meant he was HEALTHY. If he knew that he wasn't 100% then he did the right thing to let the other healthy guys play so that he would not be a detriment to the team. If Jones or Choice got hurt and Barber was the only option, then he would play, but there wasn't really a need. It was a good move by Barber and you really need to be quiet.

if barber keeps doing this we are.

barber just played poorly. he is ok. he just didnt run well.

1st and 15 barber is slow to the line. felix would have had a 6-8 yard gain barber gets 3.

1st and 10 barber should have cut it up inside instead he tries to go outside (not how the run is designed) and he is tackled because flozell is SEALING his man to the outside allowing a hole to develop inside as the run is supposed to be. barber cuts it outside.

2nd and 16 and barber on a draw and A HUGE HOLE is sitting directly to his right and he hesitates. Instead of hitting it for 5-7 yards he hesitates and goes straight into the center of the line.

Benched. Doesnt see another play.

That really stood out to me, too. He seems to really hesitate when the ball is handed to him, allowing the defense to be waiting on him.

Why is everyone so obsessed with who the starting RB is going to be? The distribution of carries isn't likely to change, and it's a big part of why Felix Jones has been so successful of late. So long as we have this great stable of backs, I don't think things are going to change much.

No. We saw a team with quality depth (3 good RBs) exercising their ability to REST one of the RBs in a playoff game.

All three guys are assets, the only question is how to best utilize them for the benefit of the team. After last night, it appears Jones as primary with Choice and Barber for certain situations may be what gives this team their best chance at success.
