I love Gallup, but he's clearly suffering from his ACL injury.

The FO blew up our offense by letting Cooper go for a 5th and set the team back as always. Didn't do anything to shore up that super weak run defense in FA either.

He hasn't been the same since before his last big injury. But then you have defenses taking away some of the deep stuff and Gallup sucks in tight coverage where it's close to 50/50 balls. he was better downfield where he could adjust to the ball better than defenders. He needs another offseason to maybe get fully healthy and then maybe he can get back to being productive.

i don’t think it was a mistake but it was a mistake to believe he was going to be the same gallup pre injury. it will take time he will probably beast next year. the reason i don’t want odella is that he won’t be the same either

We have the luxury of waiting to have our #2 receiver get his sea legs again, apparently. Probably won't happen until next year. Meanwhile, they tell us they want to throw money at another gimp receiver.

yep. One thing I’ve learned is to never pay your players. It’s pointless and only leads to disaster for this team.

Gallup is not getting $20 million a year so I don't think it was a terrible signing. I think the problem is more about Dak or Moore focusing on CeeDee than on Gallup.

All my effort time and money would go to getting MG healed and right. When he’s on he’s a helluva high point receiver. Definitely the best this team has.
OBJ is 4yrs older and a double ACL blowout. No tellin what he’s capable of bringing to the table anymore...

Having said that, I wouldn't have re-signed him. He's overrated and injury prone.

Gallup was a 12M a year caliber guy we are paying 5M to this year because we knew he'd be limited.
Hopefully he doesn't remain THIs limited because it has been ugly.

But that was a 3 year decision not a 1 year.

Gallup went for 1100 and 6 in 2019. He's had injuries since, but Jags don't do that. Didn't we expect him to be tentative working his way back?

Yup good sometime player but not a great one worth that salary
