Whoa... And all this time I thought Nasa was part of our government...CowboyMcCoy;4131397 said:I disagree. Nasa has much more credibility than our government.
bbgun;4131420 said:Nah, no personal issue. But you are a Truther. You admitted as much in the 9-11 anniversary thread.

I don't like conspiracies. But I've seen the mirrors on the moon reflecting lasers beck to earth at the McDonald's observatory.

CowboyMcCoy;4131455 said:LOL. I didn't mean to imply that it was a private entity. And indeed it is a part of our government. But it's not like most of them have political interests other than pushing the limits of human knowledge. I doubt you'd find them spending much time on CZ, pondering the game on Monday. That's not to say they're not human. They are and they have families, etc. Most just want money for missions and gathering data.
What we find out there is crucial to ourselves whether Washington admits it or not. Finding out ways to make things work differently key, I think, in saving resources. As much as some facets of groups people will have you believe we have unlimited resources for our future, it's not true and I'm not suggesting we settle another planet or anything. I just think what they do in terms of comparative planetology and things of that nature is good science. And it has been sort of put off on the back burner as something which is unimportant.

And I was just kiddin' ya, Ben. I knew what you meant.
