Did we switch from zone to man?

When you can get good pressure with three defensive linemen, why not flood the field in zone coverage.

Arizona has offensive line issues like most of the NFL these days.

We are schematically so bad on this team but we have the horses to overcome it thankfully.

The problem is what do you do when you're facing Aaron Rodgers in January and their defense has stopped us twice and he's already up 2 scores and has the ball back.

The difference is Demarcus Lawrence is in his contract year. I doubt Aaron Rodgers does much against us.

That's what I saw. And that's when the bleeding stopped. Arizona's offense was having their way in the passing game on their first two drives against awful zone defense. Once they changed it up, the defense started working.

I don't think that this observation is getting enough play.
So true. this team has never played zone well.

Is it a case of just not having much familiarity with zone, or too many rookies, or what?

Because we were told more zone would lead to better pass D and more interceptions and in reality, it's been kind of the opposite............. our zone has been blitzed two weeks in a row by mediocre QBs.

It's not just the rookies.

Your boy Nolan Carroll looked totally lost playing it too, even before he was concussed.

;)

I'd have to go back and look (which I won't because someone will answer it) but

you can still play zone coverage and press or press/bail.
