4-12 season

Alabama had more wins in our stadium than us! (2 to our 1)

Be glad I'm not the GM of the team cause you would be unemployed!

Embarrassing

Well, our actual GM thinks its worthy of an unconditional vote of confidence...

The Alabama line is pretty funny.

I thought everyone was wanting us to lose today? Confused

In a show of irony, Jason Garrett actually made the very first GOOD coaching move of his career. The conservative, and by the book clappy the clown took a shot. Albeit it was the last game of the season when were are 4-11 and we were down 24-0 in the game. It was 4th and 1 on our own 40 yard line. I was saying out loud that Garrett should go for it. Show the team that we are trying to win the game. Do something to swing the momentum. It would be a great coaching move at this point. Obvious, but easily the correct call.

And low and behold he did a fake punt and picked up the first down. After that the team was energized. Scored a TD on the drive, scored another one on the next one, and Moore wound up throwing for 400 yards and 3 TDS after that.

But why did clappy wait till the season was completely lost and we were down 24-0 in a meaningless game to actually take a shot like that? Lets hope that clappy the clown learned a football lesson yesterday. Seeing as though we will be exposed to his horrid coaching for at least another year.

It really is amazing how completely clueless Clappy the Clown is. Jerry is as bad a GM as there is in the NFL.

No Romo no Dez. We'll be back. But carry on.

Sorry, but the team did nothing when Dez played.

What you really mean was "Romo will be back".

Yep, he will. But for how many games? And for how many years? Care to look into the future at all? What do you see? Probably nothing but SB's eh? :flagwave::clap:

Is there a "good" coach out there that goes 1-11 with backup QBs on a team that was supposedly talented enough over the entire roster to be a conference contender?

Garrett is a mediocre coach at best and unfortunately we will spend the last couple of years of Romo's career proving that.

This organization has a problem from the top on down. I was hoping Stephen had more of his father's ear and had a shred of common sense but alas, I suspect he doesn't. This organization is marred by incredible arrogance by the owner/GM with a befuddling level of bizarre loyalty to underperforming assets............ and what you see is what you get.

One playoff appearance in the last 5 years.

I really had hope that things were turning a corner after last year but the same problems that have plagued the franchise since Jimmy left just bubbled to the surface time and time again.

What should happen is Garrett should be sent packing. They should turn the page on this era and move on. Try to find that next QB. Build around their OL.

But they won't. They'll cling to Garrett as if he isn't a .500 coach but rather a star in waiting that's just been unfortunate to have such bad luck on the injury front. They'll likely feed Jones' fetish with Manziel and bring that clown into the mix. And it's just wash, rinse, repeat from this organization. The team might scuffle again next year and the Jones family will figure out more excuses to cut Garrett some slack. Not because he deserves it, but because he's one of them. He's family. He's a link to the days of Aikman and Emmitt, when Dallas ruled the roost. Jones craves that link. He wants it to work despite all the evidence it's not.

The fact Garrett is still here is a clear sign they still don't have a clue and haven't had one since the mid 90s.

All one has to do is look at the Texans...who won a similar weak division with more injuries and a less talented roster.

I did not say he did. My vision isn't the same as it was when I was in my 20's but it was obvious we still struggled even when Dez tried to play this year. My post was strictly speaking about next season. Not sure how it could be taken any other way.

I doubt Garrett is remotely embarrassed. Once he sees his paycheck he claps his way to the bank.

Sorry to burst your bubble boss.

I took your post to mean that if we had simply had Dez and Romo, everything would have been great and will be next season. I was simply pointing out that we did have Dez for quite a few games and nothing seemed to change a bit with him. Its Romo that is the savior. But we can see quite clearly that Romo without a league leading run game is only good for 8-8 under Garrett. So unless they are going to go out and get a real RB, McFadden isnt going to scare anyone. And certainly Romo playing a full season at this point in his career is not looking too good.

That is an insult to Garrett. And although I cant stand him as our coach I find it hard to believe that he isnt embarrassed like everyone else. I doubt seriously that money is his motivator in all this. If that is the case, then he is an even bigger joke than even I make him out to be.

Dollars outweigh jokes boss.

why would you think he would be embarrassed? He makes millions a year and is a pseudo celebrity. he and his family are set for life. Id trade places with him.

He isnt embarrassed about his salary, he is embarrassed about the performance of the team he coaches and the record. How could he not be? He doesnt seem like the kind of guy that would be laughing his way to the bank. But like I said, I cant stand Garrett as coach, and somehow you made me stick up for him in some way. It feels aweful for me to do so, so please top. :lmao:
