I became a Cowboy fan in '85-the same year us, the Skins, and Giants all finished 10-6. We won the NFCE b/c we swept both teams(the Skins missed the playoffs).

That playoff game where we lost 20-0 to the Rams was probably my 2nd overall most dissapointing loss as a fan, largely b/c it was my FIRST time watching a playoff game.

I agree with Aikman, this loss last weekend was by far the most agonizing.

I bet it was Tommie Agee or Paul Palmer. Or maybe even James Dixon. Tommie Agee was Dallas's leading rusher Troy's rookie season i believe.

The Cowboys have experienced far worse post season defeats than what we experienced last Sunday.
This still ranks high amongst the worst, especially for this generation. To lose to a divisional rival you swept and going in tying a franchise best record only to continue the post season losing streak and become the first #1 NFC seed to lose in the Divisional Game is an embarrassment in more ways than one.

Don't worry everyone will join the bandwagon and preach super bowl when they go 12-4 going into a playoff game. Tony will be treated like a king all year next season. Might as well toss him his new robe while you can. Don't forget his crown he earned from his great regular season performance.

Moose was our leading rusher in that game -- four carries for 15 yards.

Our leading receiver (two catches for 26 yards) is a little more difficult.

How can some say Romo "choked"? That is such a strong, yet way overused word, imo. A true, choke is Greg Norman on the final day of the Masters losing a six shot lead. or the women's tennis player a few years ago who had Wimbledon won and for some unexplained reason completely fell apart and left the court in tears.

Romo struggled and was frustrated un the 2nd half, but he came back to lead his team to within one play of victory. The throw to Crayton had all the makings of Staubach's legendary throw to Hill in '79 that won the division, if Crayton simply runs his route and doesn't pull up.

Choking has to do with the pressure of the moment getting to the athlete. I can't say that happened to Romo when this game requires the rest of his teammates to perform for success to be realized.

I was at the game. I know what I saw. He played "ok" till the last two drives then he CHOKED.

Again, it doesn't mean it defines his career. It doesn't mean he does or always will do it, but he DID do it in that game.

Didn't realize you were that young Bob. There have been much tougher heart aches in this franchise's history than 2007.

You answered you're own question there buddy. Romo had a chance to close out the game in the final minutes and simply couldn't pull out a victory in his own home stadium in the playoffs. Any superstar qb would die to be in the situation tony was in to close out a divisional playoff game and be labeled a hero. He simply couldn't make it happen. It's what separates average qb's from great ones.

Folsom had two catches for 5 yards. None of the other guesses had any catches in that game.

Answer coming up in 12 minutes, if you're wondering.

Not to argue, but what does being at the game have to do with seeing him choke?
Was there something on the sidelines or out of camera range we didn't see?

I just didn't see a meltdown that I would define as a choke, but that's just my view.

Bingo.

Our other skill position players in that game were Paul Palmer (nine carries for 12 yards and two catches for 13), Broderick Sargent (one carry, 0 yards), Cornell Burbage (two catches, 22 yards), Keith Jennings (two catches, 10 yards) and Bernard Ford (one catch, 8 yards). Now that's talent.

:laugh2:

That was literally one of the most undermanned pro teams I've ever seen.
