both have high ankle sprains. However the one who requires the most cutting and torque on the ankle is out there while the one who mainly needs to use his power and length can’t be bothered to show up for treatment.

Prior to the last few weeks I was all for letting Beasley walk. Perhaps he should be retained. Showing he is a team guy and his production is still there.

I worry about Beasley the rest of the playoffs. We need him.

Imo the coaches need to get Austin more involved in the offense running routes and catching the ball instead of continuing to trot brown out there who imo is a complete useless waste.

If they do the same next week I will blow a fuse. Nobody is scared of brown and he is fat and slow.

Please stop it.

True high ankle sprains require 4 to 6 weeks. I've seen plenty in my time. Regular sprains can be managed with rehab and tape. High ankles only heal with rest. That said, Irving has had enough time and Beasely is a tough dude.

I'm going to assume if Irving could go he could go. I know fans have every reason to be skeptical but judging his relationship with other players on the defense I think he'd want to be out there if his pain tolerance allowed it. Beasley is being tough and I do appreciate that about him if we can afford to retain him then try to if not then that's another position you have to replace.

Weight also impacts recovery of the lower extremities. Irving is much larger than The Squirrel. Think about the positions and what’s required during play. 3 point stance, firing off the ball, pushing and pressing 300lb lineman put a lot of stress/impact on that ankle.

Beasley does not have a high ankle sprain.
He has a regular sprain, or more like a bad strain.

Irving isn’t still out because of his ankle.

He is still out because he is a headcase and quite frankly, somebody who doesn’t give a damn about football or his team.

It’s almosf sickening that they allowed him to collect a couple million this season for doing nothing.

I saw the thread title and before opening this all I thought was "One will play through pain, the won't play for any reason"

I like Beez. He gets a little mouthy sometimes. But he believes in himself and let’s face it, he is a beast... If we can pay him reasonable money then retain him.

I suspect irvings problems have more to do with things not ankle related. bease just guts it out. he's tough mentally and physically.

how long have irvin been out? seems like forever. I don't even remember him playing this year smh

Irving’s issue is not his ankle it’s his head
I think that’s became very obvious
I’d love to know what the deal really is but it’s not his ankle
Can’t really compare two twisted ankles though

I hope Beasley is resigned but if not, they need to find someone like him in the draft. Coop, Gallup, and Beasley would be nice for the next 3-4 years.
