Interesting.

How many guys was Romo making better in the middle of his 2nd year?

I don’t have a dog in this fight but, to answer your question: he was making everybody better. That was Wade’s first year as head coach, 2007, the year that the team went to the NFC Division Round and were upset by the Giants.

Tony Romo (in his second year as a starter, 2007): 335/520 (64.4% completion rating), 36 TDs, 19 INTs. 97.4 QB rating.
Dak Prescott (in his second year as a starter, proj over 16 games): 221/347 (63.7% completion rating), 20 TDs, 11 INTs, 87.6 QB rating.

I just like to turn thing around.

The original poster is a Romo lover. Everything Romo did is so much better then everybody else does.
I like to turn things around. Just to show the truth often lies in between. Just to give people a headstart to use their own mind.

Got it, have to say though that Romo was far from perfect but boy do I wish he was still our QB right now.
It would have been great for Dak to be his backup for 2-3 years, it is what it is.

And since he didn't want to play for another team, he could have stayed a Cowboy.

And as much as I like Dak, it's a near guarantee Romo would have won his job back if Dallas made it an open competition. Romo's knowledge of this scheme was off the charts. That's why I think it was the injuries that forced him out.
My wife knows his wife...and I can tell you that at least SHE wanted him to hang it up

Ignored

Dez Bryant and Austin were terrible now! Please

Another thing: I thought Dak was the only one who needed all pros and for everything to fall perfect in order to succeed.

No excuses
Young Dez dumb as a bag of rocks, hamstrung miles Austin without no speed, Kevin ogletree need I say more. Yikes that's a terrible corp

Zeke rushed for 200 yards & a 3TD's for the close comeback against Green Bay in last years playoff game? Ohh yeah that was Dak!

You seriously don't think having Dak back there didn't play a role in that comeback? Lol

Don't misunderstand me....Dak has his flaws like any other player in the NFL. Especially a 2nd year player. He makes bad reads at times. Bad throws. My point is, most people are looking at Dak's flaws (which honestly I think are other reasons than football reasons) and not mention the defense. It's ridiculous. This game has always been a TEAM sport. I've played this sport for years. No emphasis was put on the Ravens QB when they won the Superbowl. It was because of their defense. Dak is 18-8 since coming into this league. There aren't many QBs that can say that. And his foot work is much better this year. Does he still make bad throws at times....sure he does. There are 10 year QBs that make bad throws. It happens. Does he miss open receivers? Sure. Every QB in the league misses open receivers. But to say he's a bad QB when we have a defense that plays like that tells me that people don't know the game and want Dak out because of other reasons.

Whatever other reason that individual is thinking other than football.

Listen, playa....I don't have a problem at ALL owning up if I meant race. I AM MAN enough trust and believe! The question is....are some of YOU. So, don't tell me what I meant when I know what I meant. It must have struck a nerve. Dak's playing bad this year...please! Has he had a few bad games...yes.....most without help. No different than any other player in this league without help. And for the last time, DON'T tell me I meant something when I know what I meant. I speak my mind and have NO PROBLEM whatsoever..... saying that it is race if that's what I wanted to say. Those particular individuals know how they feel....playa! Some didn't like him before he threw his first pass as a Cowboy. Why? Cause he came from TAMU? Is it cause of his drunk driving issue? Is it cause they're so in love with Romo? Is it cause he's African American ot mixed race? I don't know what some people think. Don't insinuate I meant something when I didn't! Playa!

Great playa. Then quit telling us how you say what you mean and just tell us what you meant instead of dancing.

If you don't bite your tongue then check your brain. You insinuated race and you know it so don't feign shock when someone calls you on it. Own it like a man if that's what you feel.

This idea that folks are being critical of Dak because of non-football reasons is bull. He's played horribly this year. He got a lot of love last year and folks were fawning over him like he was the next Brady. It cuts both ways.

There is some of that out there, heard guys on 105 the fan, say they gotten tweets. I'm black and I'm critical of him. But to think it's not out there is naivety.

I'd believe that if Dak was having a good year and leading his team to the playoffs and facing unwarranted criticism. He's facing the same criticisms as Weeden, Cassel, Sanchez, Hutchinson, Testaverde, Bledsoe and even Romo. Except some folks are more sensitive to criticizing Dak. Heck, the biggest goat on this board has to be Kellen Moore. With the exception of one poster, he's universally panned. I think folks on this board are more concerned with football and winning than they are what color our starting QB is if he takes us where we want to go as fans.

This is crazy. I have 4 mixed race kids, and they're still seen as black from folks who have those ignorant views.

I won't argue your point because you're right. I'm only speaking about football and CZ in general. I haven't read any criticisms of Dak that make me think it's anything other than football. Everyone wants Dak to succeed and take us to a SB. But when he plays bad like he has the last few games without Zeke, it's a valid question to ask which one of the two is the "franchise." I want it to be the QB because it's hard to win without a franchise player at that position.

Ok I got you. I think it's both. It's how the team was built.

Just a bum, operating in perfect condition. That's the only way he can get anything done right!

See that guy landing flat on his ***! Well that's one of Risen Pukes good players. You know the good players that Puke says Dak can't do nothing without! He barely was able to do something with, Puke! He only got knocked seven yards off his feet by a real All Pro. Where would Dak be without him Puke!

Here is one Dak smartly threw low. The defender ran the route better than Williams. He also intentionally threw low to Dez vs KC and Philadelphia. Had he thrown high the defenders would've jumped the route and been off to the races.

Dak can't believe his luck

No frills no thrills. Just a receiver running a proper sideline route who doesn't require the QB to throw to this magical jump ball spot!

No doubt in my mind that Butler would be Dak's Laurent Robinson if the coaches would get him more snaps! Dak life would be so much easier if the coaches replaced Dez w Butler and Witten w Swaim! That's real!

Separation! See the difference! People are crazy if they think this is the same player that Romo threw 16 TD too. Romo would struggle w this guy. Truss

Dez is LOL funny
