Maybe but that has not always been the case. Deion hardly ever played zone, Revis hardly played zone chanp bailey same. Those guys got paid to shutdown their side of the field almost independent of what the rest of the coverage is called.

Many here whine that Dak’s deal limits the team building the roster. Diggs’ deal is more ridiculous than Prescott’s.

Digg’s is un-tradable based on his contract without a NTC.

No team needs to play zone more than 90% of the snaps which is what Eberflus has been calling.

They get beat in man coverage too. While diggs did play better last game, the few times they did play man previously he got beat. And until diggs and bland work their legs back into football shape I'm Leary of playing too much man with no help over the top.

He's getting burned because the WRs are able to beat him off the LOS. Matt is to blame for the bad defense but Diggs has been trending downward for a while.

I agree, Diggs has been declining. I doubt he’ll be with us next year.

Because Eberflus is a “my way or the highway” type coach who doesn’t know how/and/or refuses to adapt his scheme to the players on the roster.

What don't make sense is that Ebfu Comes in here and takes your best DB who play better in Man and spends your entire TC making them learn a whole new system A Good DC like Quinn Took the strengths of our Defense and hit the ground running and made adj from there
Ebfu will eventually lose this job and he will have a hard time finding a DC job again.

Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs, who has made his bones in this league as man corner, has asked DC Matt Eberflus to play more man coverage. Until then he said he will have get comfortable being uncomfortable as a zone cornerback. He will start this week against Jets after being benched to start the Packers game. He said the coaches were holding him accountable for on and off the field stuff.

Everyone knows that Diggs and Bland are man corners but Eberflus.

Losing Al Harris was big.

The only way we run more man than zone is if we fire Eberflus. Eberflus isn't a man style DC. This is where a real GM would know hey we have man corners and probably would be better at Man than Zone defense so let me hire a DC that runs a Man style defense. Matter of fact you could say we have very good press man corners. Diggs, Bland and Shavon are all good press corners. Instead we get Eberflus who is known to run a zone heavy system. We either hope the players get better in this zone system or change the DC.

Right now our defense can't contain any offense and get big time stops or turnovers. Nothing about our defense is really good if you think about it. It's bad in all 3 levels. I guess our philosophy is we will keep running into the brick wall. Eventually we will break through....hopefully we break through.

This thing could have looked much different with Micah or if anyone of our d-linemen were even above average at getting to the QB.

Diggs is a human excuse machine. He will never ever take accountability for anything. He is our defacto defensive leader. A lack of accountability is the death of a football team.
