The merge of a bunch of thread actually threw the premise of the my original thread off course. My thread title was "Can't Re-Sign Diggs". Obviously, Dak was the biggest problem yesterday, but Diggs had clear opportunities to help change momentum during the go ahead TD drive, but punked out and then choked.

I also think Moore and McCarthy should have tried to get a spark from Davis. They needed to take pressure of Dak and didn't even go there.
Sorry, yep I agree with your original idea.
It's not a theory it's how physical games like this operate.

Those who will lay it on the line sacrifice for their team like Micah does every play will always beat the business decision makers.
Sorry that's an antiquated idea and in any case we didnt go on the field as we did last year and just laid down, physically we matched them pretty well (granted Diggs isnt, as highlighted in Game1 vrs Fournette).

Diggs...yup, made his business decisions the last 5 games

TE Kittle caught 2 deep passes. 1st a seam route on Bland early, then the tip tip tip pass late

Where was Hooker on either, love to see All22. ...

The more I watch him the more I think he should just put the #54 on. He plays and tackles just like Jaylon did, and the only reason Jaylon played like that is because he was playing on one foot. Diggs has no excuses, and it's a really bad look that for whatever reason nobody is talking about

Was a team loss. Moore needs to go. You run the ball 16 times. Pollard goes down where was Malik.

That was Wilson that whiffed on the hit to Kittle, not Diggs.
I clearly remember seeing a 7 go flying by Kittle. I will say I was impressed that either Gallimore or Odighizuwa was chasing Kittle the whole play. Not bad for a big boy.

2 of the biggest plays of the game were on Diggs IMO. He easily should've broken up the Kittle pass and dropped an INT in the red zone.

He had a good year, but absolutely brutal game for him.

Way too soft of a defender for my liking. If we could trade him for a 1 or 2 I think I roll the dice. He’s not worth 100+ million that he will demand.

Trying to blame the defense and Diggs for the loss is comical
That defense clearly left it all out there this playoff run except for one guy. It was pretty obvious. It is completely unfair to =expect guys like Wilson and Kearse and everyone else to lay it all on the line but Diggs stays untouched. Nobody should be blaming the defense and Diggs isn't the only issue but he definitely deserves to get called out for his bogus effort. He is preparing for his hold out for a massive contract. I hope he gets the treatment that he deserves.

There were a few plays, actually INTs the defense dropped other than Diggs which was disappointing. Especially when the QB is average at best your defense has to take away the ball once or twice. So yes, that was disappointing.

But the main reason we lost is because Dak wet the bed again, not Diggs.

Another big component was the holding penalty on 3rd down to limit SF to a FG. That's a killer too combined with the dropped INT. These are observations, not excuses and they need to be more disciplined and execute better.

Two things can be true:

1. Diggs shied away from that hit he should have delivered

2. Dak lost this game for the Cowboys.

Dak had a lot more to process and his degree of difficulty is far greater than Diggs'? Ok, sure, I'll give you that, but Dak is the quarterback who is the engine of that offense, and he's making 40mil a year to steer this ship.

I think Dak is a great guy, but let's not deflect the blame. This loss is 90% on Dak. Team sport, sure, but when the QB is giving the ball away to the opponent and throwing behind receivers all day, how are the rest of the team supposed to overcome that?

I jumped out of my seat, I thought Kittle was going to be laid out/ annihilated/destroyed. Nope. Whiff.
