Was Diggs a “ tackler “ when he picked off 11 one year ? People were giddy about the guy . And I know he hasn’t had that kind of INT stat since , no CB is going to pick off 11 yearly it’s a ridiculously high number . You know what , teams are throwing to the other side .

When Dallas visited NY I commented on this board Diggs better follow Nabors on whatever side he is and cover him . Of course Zimmer didn’t listen to me and first throw to Nabors went for 39 yards. After that play Diggs followed Nabors and he didn’t hurt Dallas the rest of the night , Giants scored a pathetic 15 points all night .

I don’t care if Diggs doesn’t separate his shoulder trying to tackle running backs the front seven failed to contain .

That's the 'Jerry Take': look at the 'star' positives, ignore the negatives and hope, in vain, that the opposition dont take advantage.

Im not sure that at present he's not being run at because the front seven arent so poor, if we steadied that ship he'd be the focus on Plan B. When Bland's back i'd hide Diggs to outside DLaw on the left.

Is Diggs basically the teams shut down corner or not . I see teams constantly throwing on the opposite side of number 7 . Can he tackle run away running backs better ? Sure but where is the Edge containment & the LB’s before we ask Diggs to throw himself in front of Henry & Montgomery with a head of steam.

Barkley against NY was running over the secondary like a Cab running red lights in Manhattan .

You've doubled down on the Diggs positives and apportioning blame to other factors (both of which are correct)..... opponents look at the weaknesses and will run on him,. This is the problem with how the roster is built, looking at the flash/star abilities(and overpaying for them) whilst ignoring the basics. He cant/wont tackle and indeed he makes it worse as he portrays what looks like a 'I just missed him' effort.

If we'd concentrate on a strong run defense, or the basic's, then you can afford your one dimensional 'ball-hawks', but we dont, we do go elite play-makers first, but ignore the fundamentals. In this team he has to tackle, because there are holes, based in part on us spending so much on: him, Dak and CeeDee (and soon Micah).

Interesting post.
Can't help but think if @MountaineerCowboy or @shabazz or @WillieBeamen posted this, they'd be accused of "publicly wishing Dak gets injured "

Of course, I'm certain you didn't mean it that way..... did you?
Rambo turning on his guys is funny.

As if anyone will forgot how delusional he (and few others) have been for years.

We got ourselves a very expensive "Glass Man"..........
Now we understand why tackling for him is indeed an issue. :muttley:
I feel we got one of those ‘hometown discounts’ on him, not a bad contract at all for a corner that was leading the league in interceptions. If he had tested free agency or trades he probably would have earned more, Not a bad contract because he didn’t have all these injuries before that.
