All that got posted about Diggs just this morning. He's hurt. It's that simple. No conspiracy theory. Needs surgery.

You really have to ask this? Answer: Fans ( those that are delusional) still want to win and believe their was a playoff chance. Plus, Big Mike is coaching for his job and Jerry sells his FOOLS GOLDWith our luck it'll be Parsons next. I don't know why we are rushing players back, the season was done after Dak went down.
Is he? Looks more like he decided to quit (like his buddy Dak), but whateverAnother quitter

To be fair, a lot of players get surgeries during the offseason for a variety of things such as cartilage cleanup, bonespur removal, etc.
Given that Diggs was coming off a serious injury from last year, he may need some cleanup for it as well.
My point is that just because he's opting for surgery now does not mean it was required now, but him choosing to deal with it now to get ready earlier for next season.
The real question (which we will never know) is if the Cowboys were on a Super Bowl run, would Diggs be getting season-ending surgery or was this just a convenient reason for him to abandon a sinking ship early.
I am hoping since he already got his new contract and he had a disappointing season based on that contract, he's focusing on trying to get himself in the best position to have a much better 2025 season.
If that is the case, it is hard to fault him for that.
This could have been a special season had we stayed healthy.
Run it back.
