when i get a tattoo i first ask them to sear my flesh

once done then you start drawing the tattoo and apply HEAVY pressue

the pain makes the tattoo all the more personal and the message more clear

Great idea, I have them dip the needle in a lemon juice/salt mixture throughout. It adds a nice personal touch.

Years ago a tattoo artist told me he wouldn't go past something like 8-10 hours. He said your body will eventually rebel and you'll break into a fever from the constant pain.

I have zero idea how true that my be, but we never went over 8 hours or so.

Some artists are really fast as well. He wasn't, not at all.
I have ZERO hours of tattoo time.

But to each their own, it is a persons body, they can do as they wish. Some very good art work out there.
A friend of mine, she got into doing piercings, her husband, did tattoos. They enjoy their work.
They eventually would like to open their own shop.

How do we know if he’s going to recover from this? He might never be the same, like Gallup was last season.

You never know…

We need a dedicated sub-forum for tats. Topic has real weight and high interest.

Just got part of my leg done on Saturday. These guys are built different knocking their entire back out in a single session lol
They probably get the line work then the fill later. 4 hour was the max for the girl I went to. Towards the end the endorphins wear off and the pain gets pretty bad, especially for fill going in one area. She also got tired doing fill that long.

Knew a Polynesian girl in HI who had the traditional tattoo done that starts at the hips and goes to the knees and covers everything. She had It done the old school, bone in ink and hammered in, method. Said it took 3 days about 8 hours per day. I asked around and tried to find someone who would do the traditional tattoo which weren’t technically legal but no one would work on hoales (white guys). Apparently that’s changed since.

I’ll never understand why people do this to their bodies.

It’s just advertising their mental illness for everyone to see.
They think it makes them look hard.

I also don't understand why they have to sprint to the end zone and mug like morons after every big play made but hey.....you do you.
