This guy looks a lot better than in years past and much more comfortable in the pocket plus he has such a quick snap to his release he gets rid of it so quickly but unfortunately when the Cowboys cut him Tuesday (stupid move btw) don't be surprised if someone picks him up or plucks him from the Cowboys practice squad like say Seattle or Cleveland.

I know, right? I was nothing short of flabbergasted to see him suddenly morphing into his Romo routine.

The "Nooch" seems to have undergone crazy advances in his passing/scrambling and such!
I dunno if it's just a fluke, or what. Should we award him the #2 QB spot?

Sure hope they keep him around. Aways heard patience is a virtue.

Love the quick release for sure. He’s a cheese ball but I can’t stand QB’s that hold onto the football and he gets it out at least

It's funny how some on here wanted to cut DiNucci instead of try to develop him. I don't understand why we are so impatient and act like players are supposed to come into the league fully developed or they'll never be good.

DiNucci had some major hiccups in his game and seems to be getting some of them figured out. He didn't even rely on the sidearm in this one. ... Of course, by the time he gets them completely figured out, he'll be a free agent, so I guess that is why some are impatient.

Because you can’t hold roster spots for years to allow a backup caliber player to develop.

He has looked better but he is going up against bubble players in the fourth quarter. Cooper Rush and Will Grier have been facing a lot of players battling for starting jobs. Neither of them have looked good.

Third quarterback should always be a developmental position. And so are other down-roster spots. Some have to be able to play special teams and some are just among your inactives each game. Not every player has to be finished product immediately.

Competition level is definitely a question. But he did well against what he faced, and that's all we can ask until he faces better. If Rush or Grier had played as well against their level of comp, no one would be considering the possibility of keeping Nooch instead.

As a young player who clearly had a long way to go when we drafted him, his improvement was a positive. Considering Rush and Grier's play, I'd have no problem keeping DiNucci as the only other QB because we're not going far without Dak anyway.

Was going to say the exact same thing, No sidearm last night. I thought that was the only way he could throw. Looked like a different dude yesterday. Grier and DiNucci as the backups, Rush is what he is, these other two have upside and more playmaking ability.

As long as we can convince teams to trot out their 4th stringers when he's playing we're golden!

Rush and Grier clearly faced better competition. The Cowboys obviously think both are better than DiNucci. We would be screwed with any of these QBs if they have to start behind the offense we have now. Dak may struggle to put up 4000 yards this season. On paper this may be the worst group of players I’ve seen on offense in years. The OL and WR group looks dismal.

DiNucci had the furthest to go, so there was no reason to consider him as competition for the No. 2 job. I'm not even saying he should be considered a No. 2 at this time, just that I didn't see anything from Grier or Rush to make me think we're any better off with them if Dak misses time. I'd prefer to keep the guy who showed he might have some upside.

This is DiNucci’s third season. There’s been virtually no mention of him during training camp. The competition has been between Rush and Grier. We just better hope Dak stays healthy or we’ll be picking in the top 10 next April.
