This guy looks a lot better than in years past and much more comfortable in the pocket plus he has such a quick snap to his release he gets rid of it so quickly but unfortunately when the Cowboys cut him Tuesday (stupid move btw) don't be surprised if someone picks him up or plucks him from the Cowboys practice squad like say Seattle or Cleveland.

DaNooch, DaNooch...... ..Benjamin Anthony DiNucci. LOL.......

No, Rush doesn't either which is why I would keep an eye on next year. I think Rush will make fewer mistakes in the long run. The Cowboys have no good options at backup QB.

I want Dallas ( too late this year ) go into the 23 draft and come out with a QB who can back up Dak at the same time challenge him to step up . No one who played last night is it .

Seattle picked Geno Smith as it’s starter. I guess after seeing Drew Locke tossing interceptions Pete Carroll saw enough . That team has the look of last place .

This is DiNucci’s third season. There’s been virtually no mention of him during training camp. The competition has been between Rush and Grier. We just better hope Dak stays healthy or we’ll be picking in the top 10 next April.

Can't disagree with that.

Rush and Grier clearly faced better competition. The Cowboys obviously think both are better than DiNucci. We would be screwed with any of these QBs if they have to start behind the offense we have now. Dak may struggle to put up 4000 yards this season. On paper this may be the worst group of players I’ve seen on offense in years. The OL and WR group looks dismal.

This is true, but has been in each of the prior two seasons. He clearly looks much more comfortable out there now. Regardless of who the competition was, and remember he was throwing to the Cowboys future cuts too, with the exception of Hendershot who played his way onto the team last night. The fact is DiNucci's was making quick decisions, throwing crisp passes, and moving the 4th string offense down the field. He is still a project but shows more potential than Rush or Grier who have basically peaked.

I think Dallas should keep 3 QBs including DiNucci, but if Dak goes down for any length of time, they are in trouble with either Rush or Grier as backup.

Nobody will pick him up. He'll be on the practice squad.

But he did improve.

dinucci has gained some experience, and confidence, probably reads defenses situations better.
They probably should try and keep him another year.

I can assure you the competition a QB faces has a lot to do with how comfortable they are out there.

Third quarterback should always be a developmental position. And so are other down-roster spots. Some have to be able to play special teams and some are just among your inactives each game. Not every player has to be finished product immediately.

….and not every player develops.

If the team has evaluated a player and determined he’s not part of the future then cut bait. That’s precisely what they did.

I think they played Grier last night to see if he could beat out Cooper and from the looks of it I say no not last night . I think they go with Rush and try stashing Grier . I think DiNucci is a PS player at best .

If Brandon Smith can’t make the roster over the over hyped competition then some other squad can utilize him . That toe drag TD in the end zone was beautiful . You throw him a pass he catches it .

I don't disagree but the preseason games with the non-starters cannot be disregarded either. Who DiNucci played against has little do do with me evaluating his decision making, quick release, and accuracy. He just looks comfortable now.

I’m not disregarding the preseason games but they’re full of very young players trying to make teams. Very few starters play in these games. As for DiNucci’s decision making that has a lot to do with the quality of talent a QB is going up against. Having an Aaron Donald in your face can affect your decision making.
