a friend of mine is trying to get Direct TV
The apartment manager won't let him install it.
I remember about 1year ago there was a post
about this subject i also remember a link
to FCC rules regarding to satellite.
well if anyone remember the link im talking about
please post it.

The bottom line is if the individual owner can see the signal from his property (like a patio) he has a right to access the signal. Antennas that must be placed on (or above) common property (and this includes having to extend outward from a wall over a common area for example) can be restricted or denied.

They can't keep him from getting one but can dictate how it's mounted. They don't want it mounted to the side of the building because it can damage. The apartments I used to live in suggested putting it on a 4 x 4 in a bucket of concrete.
