I believe Superfan comes standard with Sunday Ticket now.
TRUE! I called DirecTV after seeing ads offering SuperFan for free during the draft and they said that it is included with my recurring subscription.

I had the same problem with them not letting me have Sunday Ticket only a few years back. Really pissed me off, and I basically was robbed IMO of about $130 extra each winter for crap I didn't want. Everything was fine until I switched to a new box, when I did that, everything went to hell. I need to find a way to get Superfan for free this year. Certainly don't want to pay the full $100, and really even $50 is ridiculous. I pay for Sunday Ticket, I pay for HD, I should get HD Sunday Ticket. Maybe if I threaten to not get Sunday ticket at all they'll throw it in for free.

The part I don't like is that the price keeps going up, yet the number of games on NFLST keeps going down. The've added more Thursday games and more Monday games. I don't have HD, but the SD picture quality is crap on a 36" TV. Love to watch the Boys, but I'm getting pretty close to pulling the plug on this scam.

Are you sure about this? It sounds too good to be true. I hated having to pay extra last year.

They could raise the price of Sunday Ticket to $500.00 a seasone if they want too! That just means that my family has to do without other things...I'm watching Cowboy football!

They don't like it...? Tough! We will eat pinto beans and cornbread and fried potatoes for a month...

;)

That's what I'm talking about 5Stars!! Ramen noodles come in many different flavors! I will be getting my first year of the ticket, now that I'm a new homeowner and I NEVER was the slightest bit concerned about the price.

DirecTV was offering SuperFan free for a limited time to new subscribers during the draft. So as long as the DirecTV rep was correct in what he stated, all recurring subscribers should get SuperFan free with the Sunday Ticket subscription.

Wow...$249.00...I love football...but geez..:(
I'd probably pay double that. The Cowboys are more than a hobby for me, they're a passion, and DirecTV is the only game in town. I'd pay the price up until it exceeded what it would cost for season tickets and an airline flight to each game.

The cable companies goofed up when they let only Direct TV carry the package. I think a lot more people would have it cable companies carried it.
Yeah the cable companies did goof big time, the reason direct tv got it was because they could shell out more for the exclusivity rights than time warner/ cox/ cablevision/ comcast were willing to shell out individualy. They should have all gotten together or something.

what we should do is open a Cowboyszone internet sports bar and stream the game live with each of us paying a buck to do so...

I've had directv for like 5 years and love it. Won't have it this season and really not too heart broken. Theres gonna be a ton of games on national TV and the ones that are, Ill go to a sports bar.

And of course Im probably gonna be getting them from a torrent site as well. I love to watch every game but like others have said 250 is a heft chunk of change.

I had it lucky though. I had JUST the sunday ticket, no other subscriptions. The directv people almost forced me into a contract cause of it. Didn't have to pay for any other garbage programming that I could care less about.....that was the plust side.

NFL Sunday Ticket was a waste of money for me last year.

Every single game except 4 were broadcast locally or nationally. Basically, I paid $200 to watch 4 games.

Yeah same here. I live with a Raider fan so, we have to get NFLST regardless.

I live in Dallas so I get every game local. Plus I'm a season ticket holder so 7 weeks of the season, I'm at Texas Stadium all day so I don't even get to watch any of it. It feels like a waste and I was finally going to cancel this year.

Then we had to go and make that WONDERFUL trade with the Browns so now I'm forced to shell out the money again. Damn Jerry!!

Little late as this thread has been dead for a week but I called DTV to tell them that I wasn't going to be able to renew this year. They rolled out the offers left and right.

She asked why and I told her that I was moving and wasn't going to be able to take the dish. She said they would move me for free and that it was my legal right to have a dish.

She asked what else was the problem and I told her that my team played nationally almost every week. I suggested they do a pay-per-team rate of like $100 and she was like "Ill note that and pass it on to our such and such department" Also told her some things I would like.....pay per game would be sweet and she passed those on. She did tell me you can do a weekly thing and pay $40 which is a rip.

Anyway, I told her again that almost all of the games last year were on broadcast and she offered $75 in credit that could apply towards anything not Sunday Ticket. Not so helpfull because all I subscribe to is Sunday Ticket....no other programming but I must say....2-3 free UFC or Boxing events would be sweet.

Then to top it off she tells me that I am eligible for a free DVR/HD upgrade.

Kind of cool I suppose....Told her I hadn't decided yet and she made a not on my account so I could have that any time I wanted up until the season.

Moving was the main issue really but if my new residence says its cool, I may do it. Wonder how helpfull that DTV guy will be when he is working 10 stories up on the room.

Anyway, just posted this because I remember someone saying that DTV was comping people left and right. I called them and threatened to walk and got nothing but this year, I really am/probably am going to walk and I got all this free stuff. I guess I hadn't been with them long enough last year. Only had an account under my name for 3 years now but have had DTV for longer.

So 7 weeks of the season you are at Texas Stadium....Where are you for the 8th week? If I send you a SASE,will you donate the tickets for the 8th week to a great cause.....Me going to the game?
