If any of you are current DirecTV subscribers, you may want to give this a try.

A friend, and current DirecTV subscriber, told me last week that DirecTV called him and offered him the Sunday Ticket and SuperFan for $100, so I called DirecTV and said I was interested in this deal. The customer service agent said I wasn’t eligible, that it didn’t show up on her screen, and she didn’t know how I could become eligible. Therefore, I politely asked for the retention department and soon spoke to a nice customer service lady. I told her that I heard about this great offer (Free Sunday, $100 Super Fan, and Free HBO and Cinemax) and would like to receive it. She then put me on hold for a few minutes and came back with free Sunday Ticket, free SuperFan and free Showtime and Starz (6 months). I didn’t have to pay a dime and never threatened to cancel my service. I was shocked… still am… and very thankful. Just thought I would share… hopefully some of you will have similar luck.

Sounds like the Sunday Ticket is losing money and Directv is getting desprate.

No. I've done something similar to this every year. I usually tell them that I have debated canceling the Sunday ticket and they come back with a great deal. It's all about the "retention" department. Just skip everything else.

I heard that anyone with DIrectv can see the Sunday Ticket for Free this weekend. So whatdoes that usually mean? That not a lot of people are buying it this year or cancelled it

If you're bold you can threaten to cancel service and get discounts. My friend just got Sunday Ticket+Showtime for 3 months for last years rate od $40 for like 4 months

It is really all about lieing and misleading the customer service agent on the other end.

The better you are at manipulation, the better your chances are of getting a good deal in return.
