It won't be long before actually going to every game in person is cheaper than watching every game on TV
Really? What is better?DTV is trash. They charge the same amount for their streaming service as they do the regular service.
Not even close to a true statement. It won't be long before actually going to every game in person is cheaper than watching every game on TV
I have the Sonos arc system. Black Panther is pretty amazing. Not to the level of 4K disc, but one day....
The audio is still WAY behind disc.
Lighten up LOL.Not even close to a true statement.
Same boat here. We do actually like DTV. But it cost a fortune and thats without internet. I haven't been a red zone watcher, but I will be this year as I am not buying the ticket from youtube for the 4-6 Dallas games that won't be available to me.Long time DirecTV customer here who's almost quit them multiple time because of weather issues with dishes and their crappy alliance with AT&T, which is the worst company on the planet.
I stayed for three reasons:
I was ready to change and was working on the learning curve with the wife, and then lo and behold, they came out with the streaming app at no additional charge. No more bad weather signal issues, so I stayed put.
- Picture quality was (and still is) better than other services, and I have a large projector screen.
- The NFL Ticket
- The wife knows the channels, and I didn't want to re-train her on using another app service instead.
Then, DirecTV loses the NFL Ticket, so I'm again pondering YouTube TV (which I don't like). But again, lo and behold, they recently announce that RedZone will be included with the Sports Package, which I already have.
I ONLY watch the RedZone channel and begged for the option for years to only subscribe to that channel. I don't need all the individual games because I live in Cowboys country already. It was an annual song and dance to negotiate down from the $360 per year charge.
Never expected for that to happen AFTER they lost the service to Google.. Now I have RedZone for "free" because my monthly bill won't change Meanwhile, all the once cheaper internet TV options continue to creep up and up in price anyway.
Pretty smart (and necessary) for them to workout that deal for RedZone before they hemorrhaged down to nothing. Might not save them in the end, but I'm good for now.
Makes me wonder how Google (YouTube) feels about this late revelation right before they start their first year of rights to the NFL Ticket? There are a lot of people like me that really only want the RedZone, not all the other stuff on the Ticket option.
I will never go back to directv. They got to greedy with all the price hikes. Youtubetv is half the price for a better product as long as you have high speed internet.Long time DirecTV customer here who's almost quit them multiple time because of weather issues with dishes and their crappy alliance with AT&T, which is the worst company on the planet.

Youtubetv has about half of the channels. Directv has the Rangers, Mavericks, Spurs, and Astros included and tons of other channels that youtubetv doesn't have.I will never go back to directv. They got to greedy with all the price hikes. Youtubetv is half the price for a better product as long as you have high speed internet.
Hulu, youtube tv, and fubo. Direc tv used to say they charge so much due to the equipment you rent from them, yet streaming is not much cheaper than their satellite service.Really? What is better?
Fubo a lot less channels and no TCM.Hulu, youtube tv, and fubo. Direc tv used to say they charge so much due to the equipment you rent from them, yet streaming is not much cheaper than their satellite service.

You should be OK. You can buy the NFL Ticket from YouTube without a subscription to their TV service. Here is my problem:
I live in the Deadskin/Ravens market and dont get all the Cowboys Games.
I have gotten the Sunday Ticket for free the last 3 years from Direct TV.
I only watch the Boys so I am not sure what to do ?
I am not switching yo utube and paying big bucks for the Sunday Ticket.
Any ideas folks ???
It is outstanding picture quality in the DFW area if you have a good dish. Plus, I can stream, too, now if the weather is bad.Crappy picture quality was one of the main drawbacks with Directv imo.
It has never been at the quality of streaming services (except maybe Hulu which is awful) in my experience.
How is it a better product if you can't watch the Rangers, Mavs, or Stars? It sucks.I will never go back to directv. They got to greedy with all the price hikes. Youtubetv is half the price for a better product as long as you have high speed internet.
Lighten up LOL.
It's raining cats and dogs out here!
"That is not a true statement. I only see water"
BoooooooDid you step in the middle of a poodle?
It's satellite, the area shouldn't matter, just signal strength. It was always well below any streaming option (again, except for Hulu), especially on a large projector screen. Not sure how well their streaming app does as I never used it before quitting. It is outstanding picture quality in the DFW area if you have a good dish. Plus, I can stream, too, now if the weather is bad.
I am not independently wealthy, lolYou should be OK. You can buy the NFL Ticket from YouTube without a subscription to their TV service.
