One thing im noticing and approving of, is the discipline we’re seeing. All of the stupid penalties we have facepalmed over the last bunch of years seem to have stopped, and while, defensively talent deficient we are, we’re not seeing loads of pass interference, defensive (or offensive) holding, or any of the other myriad stupid penalties we have had issues with. At least Schotty has managed that.

We had 12 penalties for 106 yards today - that’s a ton. Week 1 was great. Today was not
We had some st penalties that didn’t make any real difference.

They had st penalties that screwed them repeatedly. They had offensive and defensive penalties that would have caused them severe issues if we had any kind of secondary. We did not.

I would like to see discipline in the secondary to take care of their responsibility in the zone coverage called.

In the third quarter we had four for 40.

We piled up a bunch on special teams but I barely noticed them.

A couple late were a problem, but overall, I think the number was misleading
Yeah I was gonna say it sure didn’t feel like we had many penalties….

It's hard to get a PI penalty when your CB's/safeties are nowhere near the receivers!!

This isn’t a thread about our penalties vs the giants penalties. We had too many penalties. Thats the point

CD

Game 1 - 4 drops
Game 2 - stupid penalty almost cost us the game

What's next???

what amazes me is how many first downs on penalties we have gotten:
so far six in each game and the opponents only one at the birds

sorry dude but when you have that many penalties it is a real problem

12 penalties yesterday but a few were on ST, which happens a lot. Also the delay of game on the "trick" 4th down sneak was a fluke, that one hold on Guyton when the Giants defender literally fell down was bogus, and don't get me started on that BS offensive PI on Pickens in overtime.

So, it wasn't as bad as the raw numbers suggest. I do see this team committing fewer pre-snap and other mental mistakes.

The Giants had like 14 penalties and at least another 6-8 that were declined.

Anyone have numbers on the most total flags thrown in a game? I’m too lazy lol.

Thing is, nearly all of them were legit IMO.

Are you talking about the PI on Pickens or the butt bounce dance by CeeDee?
The NFL is so uneven. Lamb bounces on his butt all alone in the endzone- 15 yard penalty.

Somebody recovers a fumble and seventeen teammates gather in the endzone and orchestrate a group dance, photo, or game of hopscotch to rub it in- perfectly OK! Just having fun!

There definitely seems to be less of the presnap penalties.

I believe that some of the penalties yesterday was just trying to make the penalties look so lopsided....we've always seen " make-up" or "evening -up" penalties callec
