Nothin' like being a Cowboys fan living in DC when we win, but damn if it aint hard today after last night. Being at FedEx Field and having to take that long walk to the Metro after the conclusion was painful. I expected more from the Cowboys. I just knew they wouldn't let me down. Yet, two plays are stuck in my head. I sat in disbelief when Choice fumbled. I literally remained silent for the entire halftime staring at the scoreboard. Then when Romo hit Williams at the end, I saw the flag immediately from where I was sitting. Yet hundreds of Cowboys fans around me were celebrating until I pointed it out. Everywhere around the city I see those ugly burgundy & gold flags, I hear chumps running their mouths as if they just won the Super Bowl. It's disgusting. I'm sick!!!
Talk about an empty feeling last night... and even more empty today.

truth be told....i think even Commanders fans know deep down the better team didnt win that game...but it was their superbowl...let them have it. Still 15 games to go and I think Dallas ends up with the better record. I have few Commanders fans who have admitted that Dallas defense looks top 5 and if they cut down on penalties Dallas is going to be tough to beat. But I feel your pain....i grew up in philly area and a loss to eagles would leave bad taste for few days.

I feel your pain cuz!!!!!. Its hard to describe if you not from this area.

I feel you pain, I have to take a lot of heat when we lose to them, not to mention having to listen to talk radio around here.

I ask them one simple question, would you rather have our roster or the skins, the all stumble a bit.

It is a long season and we will see them again at our house. By then we will be heading to the playoffs and they will be heading to 7-9 or 8-8.

Way to represent at FedX.

Man, I usually listen to the john Thompson show, but not today. I know Doc Walker must feel like it's Christmas, with the cowboys acting as Santa.

Still waiting for that press conference announcing Alex Barron has been stuffed into a suitcase and dropped off a bridg... er released.

Don't see it happening though. Too many gutless sacks in this organization.

You poor man. It was bad enough on TV; can't imagine watching that unfold in person.

I don't see anything great about the Commanders. Playoff team? Pfffttt. Which makes us look even worse.

I think it really depends on what kind of fan you are.

There's a Dallas fan at my work that's pretty cool about it, when the Skins lose - I likely won't say a word to him.

On the other hand, there are some guys that have been talking trash all week that people are likely going to harass :)

Thank God I moved to Chicago from DC in July.

We'll be expecting your rant next Monday............. ;)

BTW Nahlaterz............that was as an embarrassing loss as there could be for week one in the NFL. It doesn't matter where you live for this one. The Dallas Cowboys lost and it was self inflicted through out. It doesn't get any better than that. ANYwhere.

I will say one positive thing if that's possible, the Commanders fans in my section were all cool. No issues whatsoever. We all talked trash throughout, but afterwards shook hands or gave a quick fist bump of respect. I enjoyed the game and camaraderie, just not the final score. Definitely a difference from '05 when a Commanders fan randomly came up & hit me in the head with a beer bottle, where I had to retaliate and almost get arrested defending myself.

I've lived in the DC area all my life and can count the number of Cowboys-Commanders games I've missed in 20 yrs on one hand. This one is hard to swallow and I've been to some strange games including that 'anticipated' GW FG by Vanderjerk that was blocked by Troy Vincent, then the 15 yd 'phantom' facemask that set-up the Skins to win on a FG by Novack in '06. The game last night was far worse. I can deal with losses. But the weird ones stick like glue for a while

I'm with you, cuz, it's always a sickening feeling when we lose to them because their damn fans party like it's 1999 when it happens! I can say at least today a few had a realistic take on the game realizing it was an early Christmas with a "W" gift-wrapped for them! Hell, with any win against Dallas being equal to a Super Bowl (while it's just another game for most of us) it always makes the losses harder on those of us in the DMV...

Aiiiight... I was in 112

I take the lumps. Went to the office today and got it over with. In fact, I've never called in a day in my life after a Cowboys loss to the Skins. That just gives them more ammo

Yo im from VA to man dont worry you will see those same Skins fans far more times sad than happy. We would have won if we didnt have the Junk Yard Dog at Right Tackle, I thought he was going to choke Orakpo out LOL

Oh I had took off weeks ahead of the game... I knew it was a late night game so I wasn't trying to get in the office all tired. But yeah if it had been an early game you know I would have been at work regardless of a W or L, being a Cowboys fan is an honor.

I feel ya. I wish I had taken off cuz I was zzz'n through all my meetings today. I survived it though. My co-workers are mostly leisure fans who don't take football seriously, so no one really said much.

Yeah my office is filled with Cowboys haters... It's all good, I still have faith in the boys! I'll be in D.C. again next year, I want the same tickets again.
