I do a lot of work outside and it is hot.

You're gonna get a lot of babes then as you'll be fit and tanned. The summer is the only time of the year where it pays to work outside.

That'll work for me.

I heard Pepboys is the worst. I only had a flat repaired there so I can't say from firsthand experience. Just heard they are a ripoff.

I know zero about cars, absolutely nothing, so I'm always a little worried about getting taken advantage of at repair shops. Just a few weeks ago I had to have an intake manifold gasket replaced and the bill came to just over $400. The day after the repair was finished I took my car into a different shop to get an oil change. While I was there, I inquired as to how much they would have charged for the same job and the manager quoted me at "at least $600". I definitely know who will be getting my business from here on.

I'm starting to learn. My dad's three outside employees all know how to work on cars. One is a certified mechanic, the other was a mechanic in the Army, and the other is super smart and has worked on cars his whole life. Anytime I have something go wrong I just take it over there and one of them and I will work on it.

It's true. I had to have a cooling oil tube replaced in my old VW. I ordered the parts from them. They said it would be 2 weeks for it to come in. 2 weeks go by. So I called them. They said they ordered the wrong size hose. I was like **** it then. I'll go someplace else, and I did.

The average person with a broken car is at the mercy of sharks with greasy hands. I took my car in to a local shop because the AC has stopped working, and to get an oil change. The guy called me back and showed me that a rock was lodged in the condenser and it had leaked the freon out.
He then said I would need a new one and it would cost $300.00 just for the part, plus labor. I thanked him and left. A condencer for my car on line is from $72-$94.00.

Going to buy one on line and take to a shop I know in Arkansas at the end of the month and have it installed. Instalation plus evacuating and refilling the AC system should be around $200.00 or less. I hate thieves...
