This..........I'm sold already

DirecTV’s role
DirecTV required all Sunday Ticket package owners to also become DirecTV customers. That condition will no longer apply for this new deal, opening up the package to many new subscribers who will no longer balk at spending hundreds of dollars on the package because they didn’t want DirecTV.

I just got an email getting it for free this year...wonder if that means something..

I had dtv for a decade...then canceled...then picked back up at the start of the season....

I feel this shows they are losing it

I wonder if it was a mistake for DirecTV to require people to also have their service for Sunday Ticket? How many people didn't get Sunday Ticket because of that, as opposed to those that got DirecTV because of Sunday Ticket?

Just 1 person not getting it is the cost of Sunday Ticket. You would need at minimum 3-4 people to make up for that.

I no longer have interest. But at one point I would have got Sunday Ticket if I didn't need DirecTV. I would have even paid more, I just didn't want their stupid dish.

$300 is still a hefty price to pay. Isnt the NFL offering their stream service for in-market games for around $6 a month
I use DAZN and get every football game and redzone for 20 bucks a month lol.

I canceled direct tv last week. Of course they email me offering Sunday ticket free if I sign back up. I can’t stomach paying 130 bucks a month for 6 months and then they give me a discount for ticket (meanwhile others getting it free) so I pay like 170 bucks for the other 6 months. We don’t watch it enough. You can get discovery+ and other apps for 6 bucks and have plenty to watch and use antenna for locals. Or Pluto tv is free. If they offer it as a 1 time fee for a couple hundred then I will spring for it. This year I will be depending on other means to watch the game but I think I have it figured out.

That’s what I liked about DIRECT TV. Free NFL Sunday ticket every other season. Basically made it half price. But still don’t need the TV subscription just want to send a ticket. I can’t wait to just buy an individual game

I think Disney stock is trading at 95. They get the Sunday ticket and probably will go back up to where it was. Time to invest 5 grand

I was thinking of signing up for Hulu live tv. It’s 65 bucks a month and right now it’s including Disney+ and espn+. So if Disney gets the ticket Disney prescribers may get the ticket free the first year. Direct tv angered me last year. I called to get the regular discount of 50% off. Which they just apply discounts to your bill. Half the year I would pay 20 bucks more than usual bill the other half of the year it’s slightly less than normal. The next day I had 3 people tell me they got a flyer in the mail and a email confirming they were getting it free of charge that year. After I already was on the hook with a 12 month contract. So last Saturday after 27 years I pulled the plug.

I have heard of people using other tv providers that basically get you the local fox and cbs stations of all the states. Just find the local Texas station and there you are.

What a gimmick/rip off. Very fortunate being able to watch most Dallas games. The one's that aren't televised, there are great free streams to watch them on as well as any other NFL game.

Around here, like 12 of the games are on anyway, so I'm figuring that's your logic.

What do you do for the rest? Hit a bar, or just miss them?

I got my e-mail yesterday, so I am getting NFL ST Max free also. For the 4th year in row now, as well 6 of the last 7 years. The past 2 years I did not have to call to ask for it.
I had it from 1997 through 2014 (paid) (skipped 2005 as I was out of the country for work), skipped 2015, free 2016-17, they would not give it to me in 2018, then got it free since.
I was told back in May, they usually give it to customers with the premium or above TV packages.

I believe because they been losing so many customers lately, they give it free to keep the current customers for at least through the football season.
I kind of hope DTV gets to keep it so I can keep getting it free.
And it is only for the satellite subscribers, not the streaming service.
