really?! you have to admit considering his history, even the most optimistic fan has reason to be concerned.

Considering his history if there was truth to this then it would be all over the media and it is not. You don't think ESPN and NFL Network would not be reporting on McClain refusing to practice. I think this is lazy reporting just as it was with the report of Dez being mad because Tyron Smith got a new contract. Excuse me if I don't over react to some idiot with a twitter account

But that's the risk with player like him - no benefit of the doubt. There is the risk he wakes up one day and says "Done." Hard to plan around a guy like that

He could be MIke Singletary for the first x days and then - on a dime - quit

He could end up starting ILB for the next ten years and end up in the HoF.

I am down with the notion of past behavior indicating future behavior. Now please point me to where he lied about injuries to get out of practice.

It's not sure exactly what he did in Oakland but he wasn't on the injury reports. He went directly to Newsome in Baltimore and told him he needed to take time off.

I imagine that if he does quit he isn't going to do it passive aggressively.

So just to follow this story.

Some guys reported that McClain was cleared to practice but refused to go out even though we haven't had a practice today yet and yesterday, it was reported that he did try to practice and left the field with trainers? What am I missing? I guess after he left the field, the trainers said he was fine and then decided to not go back. Who knows.

But there certainly isn't a lot of factual stuff being thrown around.

Not a thing.

If you want to see something really disturbing just look for the Jerry pics that have just surfaced. I have to go take a shower now.

Yep, just google Jerry Jones and Dead$pin.

If those are real, good gosh almighty. Get ready for another Jerry national crap storm.

If not, he needs to sue them for all they're worth.

You going to acknowledge the Helman tweet that flies in the face of your supposed refusal. He went out there tried it out and then left.

Its already been demonstrated that Broaddus did not corroborate like has been claimed.

You're just being antagonistic. What he reported was the same thing I posted in your thread. That is what they said on The Fan. Regarding the quote you are talking about they mentioned he went back in with trainers. They told him he was fine. He wouldn't go back out to practice.

Jerry commented on it too. He said nothing to worry about they expected it. He isn't in shape and he has to work his way back into football shape.

When people report false information about Broaddus you should expect some questioning of your veracity.

So you are saying that they claimed he told the trainers the injury was real and then without reevaluating him they contradicted him and told him to go back out there anyway before practice was over?

I am going to see if they have a podcast so I can listen myself.

Well, based on the cabal in Canton, I cant recall his storyline having precedent, so I will lay 1000/1 odds on that not happening. I bet you wont give me 1000/1 odds he wont quit before TC is over. If you will, we can set up a paypal escrow account

Where in my post did I say he lied or I believe he lied?, I said he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when reporters hear a story or if some want to believe it. Because "I am down with the notion of past behavior indicating future behavior."

So again The Fan takes this as he "refused"? I think it's a shame that this kind of reporting is considered real "journalism".

You said it wasn't reported by the media I was just pointing out you were mistaken.

The FAN? LOL Your right they are the be all in reporting, I guess the hundreds of media outlets that camp out at Cowboys training camp are just not in the loop. LOL Have you been to a Cowboys camp before? If you have you must know there are a lot of media trucks there with reporters covering every move and every hiccup by the Cowboys.

Why do people always resort to the 'wanna bet?' routine as if it is any way meaningful?

I never claimed anyone lied. i do think Mike Fisher is speculating and filling in the gaps. I know people here have spread misinformation regarding this topic. Lying implies intent and I have no way of knowing that.
