If he indeed is just reluctant to work my prediction is for Garrett and Jerra to say:

"He's intelligent. His work ethic is beyond question. He just needs to sort some things out first and we expect big things from him in 2014.

I think Tony Hill would have a conversation with him prior to Jerry getting involved...

So that I'm clear, because I didn't see any of this actually clarified in this thread.

McClain was cleared by the team doctors and trainers...

Erod is posting saying Fisher said McClain refused to practice.

According to other reports McClain came out and attempted to practice and then went back in?

Broaddus never seemed to back up what was said only said "You must be listening to 105.3"

Is that the gist of what this is about?

So McClain was cleared for YESTERDAY's practice, went out and didn't feel right, and went back in. That doesn't appear to be a refusal to practice but I wasn't there and I'm not McClain. He could have went out and faked an attempt and said it didn't feel right and went back in or he could have honestly not felt right about how his body felt. I don't know. I will have to defer to him on that.

Either way it appears that what was initially posted here, and Fisher claimed, wasn't entirely accurate or investigated and instead was immediately pumped out in order to get a story going. Which is typical media in all forms about anything.

Well that and Tawney is now claiming that Fisher said that the trainers reevaluated him after he left yesterday and told him to go back and he refused. Or that it was implied to be the case. Tawney wasn't very clear.

There is no podcast of the conversation on the fans website so we cannot listen for ourselves. I am familiar with erod and he has not shown any reason to doubt him.

I am not familiar with tawney at all and no one else is carrying this story.

I take whatever they report on The Fan with a grain of salt since the time they said Jon Daniels and Nolan Ryan practically got into a fist fight and that Wash had to break them up during an interview with Daniels. He got very upset and called their journalistic integrity into question for giving validity to such a rumor. It sounded like the guy on The Fan was antagonizing Daniels.

Lack of work catching up to LB McClain

OXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain has not been able to make it through the last two practices because of hamstring and quadriceps injuries, which puts his availability for Thursday’s preseason game against the San Diego Chargers in question.

i

McClainMcClain hurt his hamstring in Sunday’s practice before he was scheduled to see extensive action. He left Monday’s practice during individual drills with what owner and general manager Jerry Jones described as a "little sensation in his thigh."

Jones does not want McClain to push it, considering the linebacker has not played in a game since November 2012 and did not take part in a conditioning program before he was picked up by the Cowboys.

“Rolando not having played for a year, plus having not going through the offseason program, I was really surprised that we put him in basically competitive situations as early as we did,” Jones said after Monday’s practice. “That was OK. He wanted to. Our coaches felt he should. But at the same time we’ve got to remember that he’s got to do some good running and the kind of things that are happening to him … that’s just classic response by your muscles for not having played for a year or not having worked out in the spring. Not just ‘football ready’ but just a guy that hasn’t been out here running as much as the rest of the guys have. You could make a case if you wanted to that, 'Gosh, make the guy run for 10 days before you ever put the pads on.' We didn't. He's getting that running in football drills, which are better if you can do it without doing some damage. Where I’m going with that is, the types of things that we’re seeing from him is the kind of thing you'd see from someone that hasn't run competitively in competitive situations and you're seeing the way your muscles respond. Anybody’s would. But I feel good about him. A lot. And really feel good about how he’s competing. He’s one of our better linebackers."

McClain had started to take some first-team snaps at the middle linebacker spot with Justin Durant moving to weakside linebacker over Bruce Carter. With McClain unable to practice Durant has remained at middle linebacker and Carter at weakside linebacker with the first team.

hope he is suspended

What? That's just plain ignorance. Wow how this has turned from he had tightness in his hammy and leaving the field during the scrimmage, and coming back at 5:15 yesterday to practice and felt he couldn't go, to he all of a sudden refused to practice and is quitting to hoping he is suspended? SMH at this fan base

But he is defying trainers. . . I heard it here. . .

Yep, just google Jerry Jones and Dead$pin.

If those are real, good gosh almighty. Get ready for another Jerry national crap storm.

If not, he needs to sue them for all they're worth.

Trust me, those are real, I live in Dallas and I know for a fact that Jerry is careless about his extra marial affairs that he has. He doesn't exactly hide it from the public.

I never ever seen or heard anything about Jerry and any affairs, or out partying it up with women. I never heard it even mentioned on any radio or TV station, ever. I would think if he was that careless it would be all over the fan or the ticket, or even the TV.

does it really matter? If you have your hopes set on a guy like this, then shame on you.

That is fair enough. Expectations definitely should be tempered. That being said, innocence until proven guilty is a core value of mine. Proof of these allegations has been nonexistent.

Oh, my, gosh. Yeah, don't push it. He's only had 2 years to rehab/train/condition.o_O

She probably doesn't care anymore. She's somewhat attractive still and the wife of a billionaire.

Besides Jerry is gross ugly.

In todays TMZ world, he wouldn't be able to be that blatant and it not at the very least be all over the tabloids.

You mean football condition? I think you are getting confused here.

You can believe whatever it is you want to believe, I've seen with my own eyes, Jerry Jones partying it up with dozens of young women surrounding him. He's actually a cool guy, but he's a party animal and doesn't hide it.
