For a long time I have said they would greatly reduce the divorce rate in this country if they implemented a mandatory 5-year waiting period between the time a couple applies for a marriage license and when they actually get married.

That would solve the issue with many marriages ending in the first 3 years and also help filter out the weaker ones that make it longer because a fight in year 3 of a waiting period might end a relationship where a fight in year 3 of a marriage may simply delay it because one side is "stuck" with the other in some way.

So basically, there would be fewer divorces if there weren't so many people getting married! :thumbup:

(Just kidding, I know you meant the ratio would be more positive.)

Don't sweat it. She is gone, so you shouldn't worry about her anymore. I promise. You will be much happier if you're not spending your time worrying about her.

The new question should be. Who are you going to shack up with? :muttley:

Not surprising at all. It’s probably been going on for awhile. Don’t concern yourself with it at all, because in the end you’ll be the one coming out on top. She will have nothing up a dysfunctional relationship since she’s jump from one to another. Happens all the time.

Same thing just happened to a co worker of mine after being married 18 years. As he is finding out the only way to get over old _____ is get new _____. Best of luck.
