The defense isn't getting a ton of sacks, even though Tank is playing at a very high level. Are the Cowboys failing to get pressure because of scheme, or are they just failing to perform as a whole?

Irving needs to get his head out of his you-know-what and decide if he wants to contribute or not! Getting tired of defending this mental midget. Decide right now if you want to be a Cowboy or not, Irving.

Same thing goes for Taco.

Both players are the biggest and tallest players on the team, yet they are the biggest wimps as well. Let's go! Get on the field and contribute!

I saw quite a bit of pressure. McCoy was very evasive.

I'm rewatching the game now and the broadcast booth and halftime crew all have talked about how much pressure we've have gotten. (The second half just started.)

McCoy escaped a lot of it.

Dallas pass rush seems to have some decent push on the pocket but there is rarely any hard pressure on the QB. Appears to me that the d-line is getting jammed up in hand-fighting with the o-line and there is no quick separation or speed to get around these wrestling matches. Gregory is still questionable as to his contribution, although at times has some speed moves, but can't finish. Lawrence seems to wear out as the game goes on and his rush skills disappear. Plus, with the idiotic zone pass defenses and lack of defensive back capability to stay with receivers, especially TE's, the opposing QB's are able to quickly release the ball and get out of the way of any pass rush pressure. If the dunce coaching ever truly can or will adopt a pass defensive scheme that puts a d-back/LB ACTUALLY on a receiver, rather than 10 yds, away, the defensive line might have that extra split second to get to the QB's. Otherwise, a rare sack or two is all to be expected. Brees will light this defense up, given the idiotic coaching game plan, unless changes are made.

For a truly effective DLine, you need a deep and talented rotation, and a complete DLine. Right now we have neither. Add about 3 more talented guys to the group, and we might have a playoff winning quality DLine.

If we can start getting a better push up the middle it will make a huge difference in sacks. Right now QBs are stepping up into the pocket and escaping through the holes left by the outside rush.
Exactly right. But, to do that, you need a complete DLine, not two 3 techs. Look at that Hicks guy in CHI. Need someone like that.

Whatever happened to Dorance Armstrong? He was the talk of the town during preseason.

He is getting pressure, it just hasn't shown up in the stat line. Also he is backing up DLaw, so they aren't going to give him many snaps unless DLaw is hurt.
