DLaw alienating Cowboys fans?

The FO played it beautifully when the let out where they're at with contact talk. Now the numbers are out there. Now the pressure is on DLaw and camp. As it seems the Cowboys gave him a honest offer.

If DLaw comes up with a crucial sack in the 4th quarter on Tom Brady in next season's Super Bowl to win, all you who are against him now will say it was money well spent. This is management's fault. They should have signed him a year ago. The longer you wait the more the price goes up.

Yes I am alienated.

He can play hardball all he wants but delaying surgery tells me that an additional 10% (22M vs 20M) is more important to him than personal or team success.

There is massive disconnect in this statement. No matter how relatively healthy football players are when they retire they're going to be worse off in life than had they not played a down of football for the better part of two sometimes three decades since they could walk depending on the players and when they started, peewee. gridkids, middle school.

As a former player, if I was in Tanks position knowing the physical risks for football and blunt force trauma I am taking that additional 10 %/. Who cares what you Das as a fan thinks. This is his livlihood and you and your opinion are meaningless. This is why I don't think these contracts should be publicized.

I have a big privacy issue with the disclosure of these players salaries being public knowledge but that's a whole nother can of worms.

You actualy believe this front office? Joke is on you. Those numbers are misleading.

No one is against him.

I'm already alienated, and convinced that if the Cowboys pay him like a "top 5" player he will not live up to that contract going forward.
Me too.

While I like DLaw, and he is a very good player, he also has two strikes and a history of back injuries.

I wholeheartedly agree w/ your last sentence.

He could care a less about you or me. He wants money. And if JJ pays him then you will cheer every time he makes a play. All this will be forgotten.

It's all about ME players are not team players anymore

I have no issue with a player wanting whatever money they want nor do I look down on teams who are unwilling to overpay for a player no matter how good they are.

That said, I would not sign DLaw to a long term contract until he has the surgery. He is more than capable of getting an insurance policy if he's worried the surgery may endanger his career.

Good point Reality..……………… I aint paying for damage goods...……….I think that is what Jerry was trying to say the other day.

Oh you dont say. That explains why I haven't been emailed about any of the negotiation meetings.

The topic of the thread is if we feel alienated. I do.

Thread asks for opinions
Post opinion
"Your opinion is meaningless"

Lol k

Now this is funny....Jerry Jones has been
alienating fans/players for over 30 years.....Now D-Law is the problem? Typical backstabbing ownership move to lowball a player.

But please continue Jerry to tell everyone how broke you are....

I might be wrong, but I don't think jerry's purse is the driving force here. Seems more likely they're attempting to keep the cap under control,
Dlaw isn't the only player looking for a big payday this year. Funny how they all expect to be paid like they're the only player on the team.

It used to be he overpaid players and kept us in cap hell. That wasn't fun either.

When do you ever recall him coming up with a crucial sack in the 4th quarter of any big game? That's the issue....

Jerry is saving money to extend Garrett.. When it comes to paying guys way worth their value..

Jerry also over-paid for like a 400 million dollar yacht... maybe he needs to sell it if he’s worried about a couple million here and there..

It's the guarantee money.

If he goes out and misses games..

or gets suspended again because he uses performance enhancing drugs to aid his recovery as many do and gets caught..

**** will hit the fan.

Everywhere you read these players are using drugs and know when the tests are coming and work around it until..
Pop
Gottcha.

I do not trust this guy at all.

I want him gone and just get rid of the drama.

If I was the Cowboys, I wouldn't even talk to him till he fixes that shoulder. If Dlaw wants to live with that shoulder let him live with it, permanently.....without the 20m.
