DLaw meeting with the Cowboys on Friday

I wouldn't be surprised in the least, if D-Law prices his potential contract somewhat above what the Dallas FO is willing to pay. He's one of our best run defenders, although his age (32) could subtract from the compensation that he might otherwise command.

It should prove quite interesting to see if Jerry and Son are willing to divvy up to the expected price. Anything may conceivably occur! Will another team outbid us for his services? We'll see.

I'd wanna see more than one good year before Id extend any player. Especially one with a bad injury and off the field issues.
Lawrence...he and Parsons were as good as any in the NFL before the bucket of injuries occurred.

Depends on price tag. I think a realistic price is gonna be 12 mil a year. Sign him 2 years with a voidable year and I think you couldn’t get an equal player for that
Not if we are paying Osi 25M on a tag. We are basically piecing back together one of the worst DL's in the NFL for a lot more money. Granted our front office is moronic, but at some point it might dawn on them that the DL needs a reboot.

One of the worst cancers we ever had on this team.

Hope he leaves and disapears in the shadows. Like he used to do during his career with us.

Id say all the best for him. But that would be a lie. I hope he has the worst live someone could imagine from now on.
Decorum!

And here I thought I was the most disgusted at WarDaddy Tank's guaranteed 100million he stole from Jerry for stopping the run and pre game speeches...
Guess, I'll take runner up to you brother, lol.
Cheers

A Senator in 1940 was paid by the Germans directly to swing US sentiment away from England when they were the only European country not yet occupied by the enemy, and under attack...

Sound like around here?

The final obituary for Jerry better not be he paid the biggest contracts and they went out and got hurt.

“So the Cowboys right now have no money, right? But there are a lot of moves that may make, a few moves rather, to alleviate that situation pretty quickly,” Kimes continued. “Right now, Dak Prescott has a $90 million cap hit because he’s got ton of salary in the future, you can convert that into a bonus, bring it down to just over 50. With CeeDee Lamb again, you can convert a lot of his bonus to contract, bring that down. And then if you do deal with Micah Parsons, that’s similar to what I just said, which is basically the Nick Bosa deal, plus you actually can bring his cap cap hit down a decent amount too, because right now it’s got him on the tag.”

That is one way for the Cowboys to fix their issue, but it does mean committing to Parsons, Prescott and Lamb for the long haul.

“You do those three moves, and suddenly you’re at over $60 million in cap space. Now it would mean you are tying your fate to these three players and that you want them to be the future of the franchise, not just in the next couple of years but even beyond that, but if I’m Dallas, I feel good about that. I think they’re three really good football players, and then you do that, you have a little bit of flexibility to move around and address some of the other positions on the roster.”

It’s clear that the Cowboys have a big decision to make with Micah Parsons, and other top players as well. It’s going to be interesting to see how the team navigates this crucial offseason.

Either he shows a ton that he's worth a tag or don't resign him unless it's a fair contract.
It depends on how you define a fair contract. They could probably sign him to a fairly inexpensive contract now. That also gives them the benefit of this year to help spread out the cap hit. If he shows a ton, all of that is out the window. He'll want to bathe in gold coins, and it would be a new contract, not an extension. But for some reason the Cowboys like to wait.

They could always FT him like you said.

I'd for sure wait until after this season after he had that bad injury before thinking about signing him.
