DLaw no call

While the missed fumble on the last drive was a killer, let's not forget another bit of shenanigans earlier in the game. DLaw was pressuring Murray in the endzone and was clearly held in the endzone as the lineman grabbed and held his jersey. This was called on Schultz later in the game, but it was not called here. This should have resulted in a safety, thus bringing the score to 3-2. This also would have been important as we'd get the ball in great position, especially considering the way we were returning the ball on kick returns.

Bad officiating abounds. Not just happening to us.

Best thing to do is for coaches and players to be quiet, and JJ and SJ to go hard and angry at the league behind the scenes with other owners that are fed up as well.

Don’t make this a “Cowboys” problem. Make it a league problem and a product quality problem. Because it most certainly is.

I agree. Jerry and all the owners need to fix this leaguewide ref issue. The league is becoming less enjoyable and more unwatchable. These refs are ruining the fun of this league.

How does that relate to what was a clearly missed hold in the end zone?

Because getting a hold called is at best 50-50. This is why there is holding on every play because the OLine can usually get away with it because it is hard for the ref to see that specific penalty with the chaos of the scrum and him having to look at multiple blockers. Basically if you looked at every NFL game you would probably see about 20 missed holding calls in a game easily.

Penalties were a problem but we still could've won the game if the defense could've contained Kyler Murray. But I can't overly blame them because they haven't faced a guy like Kyler Murray all year. Our defense is sort of feast or famine. The offense showed up, albeit late, they finally came to the party.

Officiating is impacting outcomes. It's now determining who the winners and losers are...all over the league. Something has to be done. If fans stop accepting it (viewership and ticket sales), something will be done about it.

I know exactly which play you are speaking of. It absolutely was a missed call. There were multiple other holds on our DL that weren’t called. However, I don’t believe this was in the end zone. I’d like to see if again to get another look but I think you are mistaken.

I mean there is not really anything that can be done about holding calls. Do you really want to see 8-10 holding penalties per game because that is what happens if they were to catch every hold (and I am being conservative)? The refs did not decide that game. The offense being a mess for 3 quarters and the defense on that last drive not being able to stop the obvious run plays lost the game.

Winners win.

Losers make excuses.
So true. The amount of whining and moaning about officiating after every loss is so tiresome. How about playing better and overcoming adversity? How about the offense putting up more than 7 points against a defense missing two pass rushers and two corners. Just be better and stop the lame excuses.

I think it was. DLaw was in the end zone. I don't have the picture or highlight, but DLaw was definitely in the endzone, especially when they showed it on replay during the game.

That's the locker room mentality.

So many players blaming everything but their play for their short comings.

That's why they will never be better and why this team will never win anything.

They did overcome adversity. They caused a fumble at the end of the game that would have gave the offense a chance to win. The D did their job. The rams and bucs also played like garbage but won their games late in the 4th. Its not how you start its how you finish. However if you're not allowed to finish because someone being paid good money to make a call or not make one makes a mistake it's not complaining. It's just stating a fact
