dmac could end up being a bust...no one knows at this point, he is not a homerun player...if he was you wouldnt be able to even think about trading for him...so i pass on trading up for him...if he slips to 15,,thats another story...
 
I've watched him the past 3 years. I watch a lot of SEC ball.

I still remember asking my friend "Who was that?!" while watching the Bama/Arkansas game in 2005 when he ripped off a 70 tard TD run against Bama his freshman year. A little hole opened on the left side of the line and he burst through the hole like a rocket!! The Bama LBer and safety tried to get over, but it was too late, McFadden left them in his dust. It looked like a Bo Jackson run. That's how explosive it was.

After the Bama game this past season, several Bama defenders were quoted as saying "McFadden is all man!" They were very impressed with him. The thing that impressed me about him in the Bama game this past season was he kept toting the rock all game long and he didn't have any huge, 70 yard type runs, but he kept hitting it for 10, 15 yard runs at a time on his way to a 195 yards on 33 carries and 2 TDs!

The guy is a bona fide stud!!

Yes those were part of the problem but if you believe signing Thomas fixes our coverage problem then I'll leave it at we will have to agree to disagree.

IMO a cb is our biggest need not a luxury rb when we already have a pro bowl rb.

And what CB in the draft is a home run player? There are so many good CB's and WR's in the later rounds that it is pointless to pay one first round money when. a. they won't even contribute to the team that year. B. you can the same talent in the 2nd 3rd and even 4th rounds. Mcfadden is different there is no one like him other then AP and to those who say Dmac is like bush they must not know anything about football because mendenhall is more like bush. The only thing bush and dmc have is the number.
 
I have seen almost every game of McFadden's career. Most people in AR regard him as the greatest Hog ever. His combination of speed, power, and competitive fire are out of this world. What people need to keep in mind is that McFadden ran for a team that had no passing game. Every SEC defense knew that McFadden was coming, and they still couldn't stop him. Don't believe me though - just ask the SEC coaches. Here's a few:

"Not many guys since I've been in the league can flat out dominate like he has. Not too many can take it to the house because there are so many fast guys. He makes people miss and does it so cleanly that when he does, he's gone." — Georgia coach Mark Richt

"I don't think you can stop that offense. I really believe, all equal, if you got a guy like that back there and you control the ball at all, it's an offense that's impossible to stop. If he's not the best running back in the country, I don't know who is. He's the best one I've seen." — Florida coach Urban Meyer

Can he be Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker great?

Dmac running style reminds me of Eric Dickerson.

Eric ran upright and had skinny legs.
 
its hard for him to be impressive when the entire defense keys on him and they have absolutely no one else to take the treat away from him. he is a beast and will be a beast. small legs? haha alright.. light for his size? does anyone actually think that he wont put on weight and get stronger in the nfl? .

Oakland at #4 with Al Davis is going to take this kid as the next Bo Jackson. He's looked for Bo's replacement since he left.

Now that he has a shot at his clone, he's going to end our agony early in the draft and claim him.

That's my feeling about it. Had we been able to turn the Cleveland pick into a top 5 pick, we might have been able to work a deal with one of the teams ahead of Oakland to get him before Davis pulls the trigger.

But not now, it's too far to come back from the other side of the draft with picks #22 and #28 to get it done.

I'd love to see it, but when I look at where we are, it would take either a brain fart by some team to let us trade up or we'd have to sell the farm to get him.

Either way, give me the odds out of Las Vegas on it and I'll let you know the probability of it happening.

DMac is not a Bo Jackson clone. He doesn't have any where near the same strength as Bo. Bo was a once in a lifetime athlete.

Mike Mayock should turn his attention to the myriad of plays that end up like the one at the 1:30 mark of that vid in McFadden's career, where the play is ending, he lowers the boom, and drives his legs for an extra 5 yards.

Dead, skinny legs my ***. Watch football, people.
