My grip is the Escobar pick. Didn't his body suggest weak blocking problems. Now if they would use him as a possession receiver, maybe.
Eh, some sting in terms of passing over a player for another, but most are looking at it in hindsight.
2003 we had Woodson and Williams and no one at corner. Back with Williams was looking like the second coming of a Lott clone and well Woodson was still playing well. I mean it sucks we didn't draft Troy, but I can't recall anyone on the older forums wanting TP.
and when you get to our 2nd round or later pics, whoop. that means even the team that got him likely passed on him at least once. and hell, look and last years "redraft" - you can list every QB as a "do over" now. so does each team have a bored writer that pulls this topic up during the off-season for the "rue'ers"?Over half of those really aren't blunders, just guys who are or were better than every team in the league projected.

The Quincy Carter-Tony Dixon double kick to the crotch was the worst draft day ever. That stings...wow bad memories.
Hardly a Newman truther, but I agree. Plus Polamalu would have done what in Dallas? That was when we still thought Roy Williams was a stud. Polamalu was good because of circumstance in Pittsburgh. Right system and time. I doubt he is a great player in Zimmer's system.Came here to say this.
TP ended up being a phenomenal player, but Newman was good for us when he was healthy and it's not like we were hurting at safety.
Not a blunder at all IMO.
