Hopefully there is another Peterson out there that we can't foresee.

you said cant foresee, so that wont help lol
you want a RB that is elite?
That means R 1, and then you have to hope jones boys want him and will use a # 1 for him.
Even if we get higher picks in 2016, no telling who or what they will draft or have on their boards.

It really sucks Thursday turned out how it did, bc the rest of the East did exactly what we needed them to do to help us......[yes they did]
Yeah. Even if we just still had Romo back there, you could make a case for a run, and have some slim hope we could enter the playoffs playing a lot better than we played this week. Heck, we did that just last season. But with Romo out, it kind of doesn't matter. We're playing for pride here, and that always sucks.

Well Cassel may be good enough to beat Commanders, I think he is warmed up now, he looked decent on the td drive.
Have to wait and see how he plays wash.
Romo was not ready to play carolina and they should have sat him and played cassel.
Cassel needs a win for confidence, and wash game is one he can win if things go right.

He might be. The whole division's a crap shoot right now. It's insane that a win this week gives us a realistic shot of being a game out of first place after everything that's happened. It's just hard to imagine caring all that much down the stretch, knowing how limited the team is. Even if we get a lot better the final quarter of the season somehow, it doesn't look like we're going to be able to get enough better for it to matter for any sort of a run.

I guess it would make me feel better about the long offseason, but that's about it.

If Romo was healthy I'd be optimistic a 7-9 finish would get it done.

-Dallas still plays Washington twice.
-The Giants still must face the Jets, Panthers, and Vikings.
-The Eagles still must lose to (I mean, face) the Patriots and Cardinals.

But without him I'm honestly thinking about the draft. I haven't felt this defeated about a season in a long time.
