I swear to God reading some of you guys idiotic posts helps me to understand why so many people hate cowboys fans. So now because of Bryant having a down injured year he was never a top 5 wr and we should look at cutting him? Smh you guys make it an embarrassment to say I'm a cowboys fan.

Dez Bryant was clearly top 5 coming into 2015 -- arguably #1 and no less than #2 behind Antonio Brown.

This year? Who knows...

It's hard to tell how some how far some of the young WRs will continue to climb -- think Mike Evans, Amari Cooper, Allen Robinson, etc

The NFL landscape is littered with top notch receiving talent -- some of which I've barely seen play. Take a look at Allen Robinson's year (1400 yards, 14 TDs) -- it compares very well to any season Dez Bryant has ever had for example.

Then you move on to the list of guys like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, ODB, and Andre Hopkins. Every one of them had career years this year.

IMHO, Dez Bryant, when healthy, is the best red-zone WR in the entire NFL -- and it's not even close. Outside of the redzone, I'd say he is somewhere in the top 5-10 range. Put those two aspects of his game together and you have a WR right there on the fence between 1-5 and 6-10.

And I'm ok with that.

How can any WR be a top 5 talent when he is constantly hampered by an injured foot and ankle throughout the year? Let's face it, Dez is primarily a physical talent who relies greatly upon his physicality being intact for success. Let's not assume he's toast before he even gets the opportunity to exonerate himself in the upcoming season. Rushing to judgment is rarely a good idea.

I assume julio jones is nowhere near your top 10 then? Hea missed more games in fewer years. Antonio brown has only played in a couple more...and he just missed a vital playoff game. He doesnt belong in the discussion either.

All I can say about that is that the assumptions you attribute to me are very creative. My comments were concerning Dez to the exclusion of anyone else. Every player has his individual characteristics that render him either able or unable to cope well with certain injuries. We'll see what Dez and the others do in future years, I have great respect for those you mentioned, as well as Dez, himself. I suspect that the rating of players is somewhat overrated. Simply surviving in pro football is tough enough without having to please everyone.

I think brandon marshall 1400 yards and 14 tds, demaryius thomas, and aj green should be in there somewhere. Jordy nelson when he gets back and dont forget baldwin with 1200 yards and 12 tds

I think that's very possible. He'll have an entire offseason to recuperate from his injuries. Let's just hope his foot and ankle injuries won't be an ongoing problem that lingers indefinitely.

2016 will be a telling year for Dez and the rest of the team............will it be 2014 or 2015.........this next season will answer all those questions.
