Lots of sanctimony here and I always use my mind.

I used it to remember when Babe wrote off Romo BEFORE any back issues. Saying the usual tripe about he'll never be a winner, etc. This coming from one of the worst QBs in Cowboy history.

So use YOUR mind and don't knee jerk assume I was only talking about Romo's back because I didn't even say that.

Maybe if you get some smarts you won't go off on tangents with prefilled in ideas and comments about what "all Romo supporters" think when you reply to an individual. Or is that "two deep" for your mind??

Sanctimony is right. Glad you see you have recognized your problem.

No Romo Thread is complete w/o the "E-Lie Has 2 Rings" mention . . .

I won't go into theoretical playoff runs, but that's anyone's option to do so.

I do want to correct you on a non theory thing.
Romo has 8 TDs and only 2 ints in 6 playoff games.....and one int was a end of game desperation heave, so really NOT a pick per se.
Correction

Ok first let me say Romo is a very good QB and early on in 2006 and 7 I thought he was the best QB.
He has only been in 6 playoff games, so 2 ints is not bad , 8 td's maybe not so good? and I was also including the 2 win or go home games 2011,2012.
Not playing good can be other things besides int's.
And I dont blame him specifically for any of the losses.
I was just pointing out why he isnt more highly thought of with the other QB's
Many great QB's never get to win a SB, just the way it goes, need a good team and coaches at the right time and a little luck.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (9) communicates to his teammates during Dallas Cowboys minicamp at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. (Vernon Bryant/The Dallas Morning News)

Former Cowboys quarterback Babe Laufenberg answered questions in a chat Wednesday. Here are some highlights.

Question: Do you think there should be just one main running back for the Cowboys and who do you think it should be?

Babe Laufenberg: I do think there should be one main running back. Even teams where you say it is a “RB by committee” there is still someone who is at the top of the committee and gets the majority of the carries. As to who it will be, I think that will be the fun part of camp. The one thing to have your eye on is the maturity level of Joe Randle…can they count on him? We will find out.

Question: If this is the year Romo hurts his back and it’s unclear if he will be able to play again, do the Cowboys go into full rebuilding mode, or do they roll out Dustin Vaughn and continue to approach things as though they are Superbowl contenders?

Babe Laufenberg: Well, let’s hope Romo can stay healthy, but as the old saying goes, “hope is not a game plan.” I think Dustin Vaughn is a long way from having to play and the Cowboys still being considered as Super Bowl contenders. I do know this. I will never forget Romo playing the entire pre-season game in Seattle in 2006. That to me was like Dennis Hopper telling Martin Sheen in “Apocalypse Now,”….”he’s got plans for you.” And it turns out that Parcells did.

Question: So SI has Romo ranked above Eli Manning. That makes sense; he should be. How are quarterbacks ranked, specifically? How are Ryan and Flacco ranked above Romo? For that matter, if quarterbacks are judged by championships, why is Aaron Rodgers ranked so high, when Brady has 4 Super Bowl rings. Rodgers has one ring. Romo was the highest rated quarterback last year; shouldn’t that have put him in the top 5, at least? Has Matt Ryan ever won a Super Bowl; has he ever been to one? Be honest, man… do people just not like Romo? He’s a boy scout compared to many players in the league.

Babe Laufenberg: long question but I will try to give a short answer. If you notice, all the “lists’ come out at this time of year. Because there is virtually nothing going on in the sports world. Best this, worst that…I think there are 4 at the very top of the list…( in no particular order) Manning, Brady, Brees and Rodgers. Obviously, the first three are getting a little older. Then there are a group of guys that you could almost throw a blanket over, and I believe that Romo is in the next tier. Eli, Ryan, Flacco, Romo. My thought is you take who you want and I will be happy with the other guys. It is a big “if” but if Tony can ever have some real playoff success, he will climb to the top of that second tier, but time is running out. I do believe that Tony Romo has not prevented Tony Romo from winning a Super Bowl. They have just not been good enough around him.

Babe Laufenberg turned his back on Romo, even when it wasn't his fault they weren't winning. The last two years he has tried to jump back on the bandwagon.

Yup completely sold him out. Trashed him. Also wrote his career off.

Can you guys point me to where/when this happened? Babe has always pimped Romo hard and was his biggest apologist. The only time that changed was when Babe questioned Romo's health after 2 back surgeries. Matter of fact, Aikman had the same concerns as Babe. How is that "selling him out?"
